  • Fuck yeah

  • Geez...

It ends with Daffy speaking fake Chinese with the subtitles "Help I'm being held prisoner in a Chinese laundry" because he didn't pay his bill

  • It's okay eventually they'll make an AGI and then they can just kill all the pesky, smelly, whiney humans

  • Their enclosures are dogshit too. You can roll your own for like half the price if you have spare components laying around or a decent local computer thrift store. It'll be like 10x better to because you can put actual real NAS software on there, or just run a virtualization server.

Only benefit for these style appliances is that they usually come with 2.5Gig + network adapters, but a smaller ATX build could just get a PCIE card that does 10 and that benefit is gone.

  • I went the Karlach route and there's just the one scene, then some little date sequences. They hit you really hard early on though

  • In fact the real antisemites were the Allies for making mass deportation of Jews to Israel difficult and expensive. They were backed up against the wall with no other option!

(I saw some conservative pundit justify violence by ICE this exact way, that because people were being mean they had no choice but to break every civil protection that humans get)

  • Turns out that if you take the wheels off the car while it's driving it just kinda crashes

  • China symbolizes one of the strongest, yet most oppressive countries and governments in the world. And we [Americans] are fortunate to live in a free country. And so in thinking about that it just kinda upset me, and we wrote this little song called “Chinese Democracy.”

    Oh boy

  • It's on the Nintendo Switch, so either with one of those or with an emulator.

  • We always install libre office and Firefox. No one even notices that it isn't word because it just works. Half of them just want something that can do Zoom calls with their church and not constantly be asking them to update.

It's also so much easier for techs to fix a borked Linux install. So far we haven't even had any of the Linux machines come back except for hardware issues. The Windows machines are constantly having issues and getting malware though.

We track the Linux installs too and it's fun to watch the graph over time be taken over by Linux.

  • If it runs a browser, it works. Installing software is a bit of a learning curve, but the software store button makes sense. Plus it's way harder to accidentally install a virus from an exe when you can't run it.

  • Maybe a transparent one so the background can be swapped

  • I volunteer at a non-profit computer repair shop and the old folks that come in for free laptops have been returning windows and Mac laptops for ones we toss Zorin on lol.

They say it's easier to use and faster

  • Looks like something that would be in a Boots Riley movie

  • *70mph

He lived in the same town and was mad that one of the girls rejected his advances.

  • Only correct answer

  • It's a refractory period joke

  • Awesome! I wish I had more time to code for a hobby. I have a few small projects that people use that I need to get back into maintaining. Fighting tech debt and braindead management at work burn me out lol

  • The class actions were filed against the franchisees, not corporate (they knew better and didn't fuck around in the corporate stores). The regional Papa Tsars were Haffaesque in their business practices though.

The one I worked for owned like 40% of PJs on the east coast and all of them in Canada. I did get to de-Pappafy our store when the N-word recording came out though so that was fun. Still have a ton of drunk papa magnets on my fridge and garage door.
