I jumped off Reddit's cliff and landed here just like many other Lemmings.

  • Just install Win10 anyway. Only caveat of not activating is youre stuck with the default wallpaper

  • This may be an unpopular opinion but who cares? I'll use DVI if I have to.

  • You can't pretend you've been on the internet for more than a day and not heard of catgirls yet

  • This is the exact same argument the Hackintosh community had. "Apple will never put a stop to us, we're the hardcore tinkerers who find bugs in their software before any normal user!"

Google doesn't care. The hardcore users on the bleeding edge make up 0.001% of people with an Android phone. Pissing them off will not affect the shareholders.

  • I run SailfishOS and Australia mandates VoLTE now. It works.

  • Perhaps not stability, but certainly the ability to understand a problem and fix things is why I use Linux. On Windows or MacOS you just get "Oops, something unexpected happened", or if youre lucky "Error -2847".

On linux you can read the journalctl or have a poke in /var/log/ and actually find an answer that's more helpful than "reinstall the operating system / program"

  • Earlier this week it stopped going up and down, only side to side. Had to clean some crap off the x-axis wheel.

  • The computer mouse I still use today has a ball in it

  • Australia doesn't have automatic registration either, which is baffling in its own right considering we have mandatory voting.

When you turn 18 you need to register to vote, thereby placing your name on the list for any and all future elections.

  • I thought this said Australian high speed train, and my first thought was "yeah but it only would have been doing 80kph"

  • I so want ARM desktop PCs to become mainstream

  • Been a Linux user for over a decade, always used iGPUs but knowing Nvidia has always been an issue I've recently purchased my first dGPU and made sure it was an AMD card.

Literally just plugged it in and powered the system up, and I was off to the races. Couldn't have been simpler. Don't understand why Nvidia makes it to hard.

  • Is that common?

  • Speak for yourself, there's nothing wrong with my carburettor!

My distributor on the other hand is a pain in the ass. Electronic ignition has its upsides...

  • And I self host mine!

  • What's wrong with LPG?

Petrol is a liquid. When liquid petrol evaporates is becomes a gas. When gaseous petrol is compressed in a container as pictured it becomes a liquid until it is released and allowed to expand again, hence liquefied (compressed) petroleum gas.

  • As someone who has only linux'd in over a decade, I didn't even realise this wasn't Linux until I read your comment.

  • Damn, I thought Europe was doing such a good job
