Why are you running it through proton? I tried both native and proton and no glitches for me, but it might be depending on GPU and all sorts of other things.
Star Labs StarLite might be a good choice. I don't personally have one so I don't have 1st hands experience but I know somebody who does, and he's happy with it.
I only posted there once and got insta banned. My post was very mild, didn't say anything controversial one way or another. Asked the mods what I did wrong but no one replied.
Keep in mind that on such platforms (including on Lemmy) any mod can ban you if they disagree with what you say.
It's the same on Lemmy. A random mod can ban you (and remove your comments) from one or several communities just for disagreeing with what you said. What are you going to do about it?
