  • reinstall lineageos, if it has gapps i consider it compromised

  • i just use a membrane keyboard, it's a pretty good one from 1998 i got from the garbage can in pristine condition. ("sejin skr-2233e") i don't think i can ever get something similar to this, so i'm seeking replacements.

  • That's a very nice machine. How's the screen nowadays? The one on my T60 is extremely dim and yellowed, seems like your's is still pretty good?

  • they also made Princess Maker

  • copyparty is extremely simple to run, no need for docker. just a single python file

  • on some places everyone including the active seeders have utorrent 2.2.1 (or something similar) so you'll be missing out sadly.

  • i have a 'src' directory. tho my home directory is extremely messy, ls | wc -l gives me 170 now..

  • ...except its not really communist, like north korea's no way a proper communist country (not that there's any that even existed); just some shitty dictatorship

  • this is my first time hearing about borg, is there anything it does that can improve my current setup? from a quick look it seems like it creates its own backup file while rsync works with raw directory structure.

  • haven't watched the vid but I always pronounce AA as ay ay and AAA as ay ay ay. maybe because im not a native english speaker tho.

  • i just have a simple shell script that uses rsync to upload my files to a server and have a termux shortcut on the homescreen, i just press it once in a few days

  • I know it's absolutely terrible for privacy and all but have you tried Puffin Browser and Opera Mini? That's what I used to use with terrible mobile internet connections back in the days.

  • not really, i believe syncthing-fork existed even back when official syncthing supported android.

  • YAATA is very good, sadly its abandoned and not FOSS. I've never seen any network request from it tho I block it these days. This is the most lightweight one I tried, much better than Textra/Chomp/etc.

QKSMS is foss and I saw some suggestions for it, but it was way too complex for my use.

  • don't use winamp, use wacup

    on linux use audacious

  • linus torvalds does too

  • Terry on TempleOS was actually extremely talented but suffered a mental illness, this guy is just doing nothing worthy

  • Telegram, the 'Saved' channel is very useful, good for quick note taking and sending files across devices. I consider its contents public and don't upload anything important tho.

  • bro wanted to make linux more like windows 11
