this is my first time hearing about borg, is there anything it does that can improve my current setup? from a quick look it seems like it creates its own backup file while rsync works with raw directory structure.
i just have a simple shell script that uses rsync to upload my files to a server and have a termux shortcut on the homescreen, i just press it once in a few days
I know it's absolutely terrible for privacy and all but have you tried Puffin Browser and Opera Mini? That's what I used to use with terrible mobile internet connections back in the days.
YAATA is very good, sadly its abandoned and not FOSS. I've never seen any network request from it tho I block it these days. This is the most lightweight one I tried, much better than Textra/Chomp/etc.
QKSMS is foss and I saw some suggestions for it, but it was way too complex for my use.
Telegram, the 'Saved' channel is very useful, good for quick note taking and sending files across devices. I consider its contents public and don't upload anything important tho.
do people really care much about the thickness? i'd rather have larger battery or smaller size.
