MS specifically is looking to fire up 3 mile island to power their AI datacenters. Yes, really.

what about mi/kWh?
Speeds “exceeding 50 MPH”? Like, 51 MPH?
Yes, 51 would be an example of a number that exceeds 50, well done.
The claimed efficiency is nonsense given the promotional videos from Tesla where they tried to obscure the driving time, distance, and speed.
Where did you see that? It says right in the article that the company has verified that the performance exceeds Tesla’s claims, so I don’t see any reason they would do that.
It also flies in the face of the EV Semi testing conducted last year
What testing?
DHL’s statement is that their longest run was 390 mines, with no information about state of charge at the beginning or end. They are extrapolating the 500 mile distance.
They probably simply didn’t need 500 miles for anything.
This is how EVs actually work. You don’t charge them to 100% then discharge them to 0%. You keep it somewhere in the middle, for a variety of reasons.
This sounds like Pepsi’s first press statements before they found out what shit boxes these trucks are the hard way.
When did Pepsi call them shitboxes?
Oh honey…
Lemmy is not nearly large enough to fall victim to that.
Plus we don’t have the financial incentives to allow it. Reddit turned Karma-farming into a literal business model.
What makes you think I fucking use it?
who. fucking. cares.
I mean, I’m kinda opposed to the intrusion of even more ads, personally.
Yes.
No. I still prefer Gnome but Mac is fine.
I really like how Gnome has the super key and kinda combines Spotlight and Mission control into the same function.
After I got a free iMac and using it for a while, I don’t think I can go back to Linux daily. It’ll still be on my laptop, and my gaming PC, and eventually this Mac will die and I’ll have to reassess. Linux is still just way too complicated for me to complete even basic tasks.
The biggest drawback of MacOS is all the software that’s locked behind the Apple Store, which I refuse to use.
There are a hundred different ways to do this. My personal favorite is https://wormhole.app/ because it’s pretty.
The entire article summarized in a single sentence:
The iOS App Store shows Install Size, whereas Google Play shows Download Size.
As a Linux user I’m quite fond of MacOS. There’s not really anything special about it but other than the unremovable first-party bloat ware its easy to use and stays out of my way, which is really the best I can ask for.
when was the last time you used it on Android
Literally several times/day, every day?
and was it on a modern device?
Pixel 7
you can block people, you just have to select the lower icon
No you can’t. Much like “all mail” it simply doesn’t do what it says. As I said, it just moves them into the spam folder.
are you talking about how it shortens 'Steam@steampowered.com
In your own screenshot it just says “Discord”. There is no email address to be found. This makes it stupidly easy to dupe vulnerable people. You can enter any name in that field and any photo in your profile, making it stupidly easy to impersonate, for instance, PayPal or USPS, which I get all the time.
I’ve never seen messages not show up in a search or in all mail.
Oh well if you’ve never noticed it must be a figment of my imagination…?
It doesn’t search spam or trash by default
Yes that’s the problem.
It shows me the sender email address just fine when I tap on the header.
Once again, yes, that’s the problem. Most people are not going to do that.
It’s actually better on iOS, like every other Google app, which should embarrass them. But forget the app, GMail in general is fundamentally broken and hasn’t improved in any way that I can ever recall.
But yeah, just off the top of my head:
How is any of this acceptable from the most prolific email platform on the planet!?
My company insists on sending all communications through email, and also insists on using Gmail, which means shit just gets buried and impossible to find all the damn time.
No bundles necessary. All services are free. You just pay to add more storage. $2/mo for 100GB.
If you don’t care about privacy and are okay with financially supporting one of the richest and most powerful companies in the world in their perpetual quest to erase any semblance of privacy from society, it’s a great option!
I mean, it’s very easy to do by simply adjusting the amount of battery included…
LOL WTF? You think product concepts are illegal? 🤣
They’re not marketing them as something they’re not. They’re marketing them as something they will be…
I mean that’s probably false also, but my point stands.
It’s incredibly misleading to just omit the fact that they’re remote controlled but misleading is very on-brand for Tesla.
You’re just intentionally ignoring the first half of that sentence…
Never heard of it. Show me?
LOL what? 500 mile range is a 500 mile range. There’s only one way that works.
Sauce?
I mean you made it pretty clear that I did.
If they’re such shitboxes, why would they care?
There are zero links in your comment. I don’t believe you.
