  • Is everyone who says "people only care because they are white" forget about George Floyd? Pretty sure there were very large, nationwide protests for that.

  • When this is over we will have the Trump files to leak with investigations into all the people who covered for Trump.

  • Its a little confusing. At the start of the month he said he's not running for gov again but would consider other elected offices. Now he is saying hes not running for any elected offices. Reading the full article clears it up.

  • Just in time to "defend" the "results" of the 2028 election.

  • Move fast, and kill all humans.

  • The older I get the more I relate to Elaine being a "difficult patient." I feel like my chart got marked with "anxious" when i was at the ER a few years ago. Now multiple Drs keep trying to push pills on me for "anxiety." I'm like yeah I was anxious at the ER because I went to the ER, I think everyone there is anxious.

  • Somehow stocks will go up.

  • Sound is pretty good, maybe slightly on the thin side. Not sure what the library issues are. I don't think its RAM. The library indexs to a certain point then stops and rolls back. I can re index from the point it rolls back to, but it always resets to that point again.

I mostly use it as a dedicated audio book player until it gets reaolved.

  • Juggalos?

  • I have one. I appreciate it exists, but its still very rough. Controls are fiddly still and theres some issues indexing large libraries. Not sure if its a total GB issue, or number of files issue. So it sits in a drawer and gets updated when I remember to check, but so far no update has fixed either issue.

The only other FOSS DAP I can think of is refurbishing an ipod with an ssd and new case then flashing rockbox. Thats probably what I'd go for next.

  • I usually try and pick up a console a few years after its done. Its usually cheap and the nostalgia wave hasn't hit yet. At that point its probably been hacked and the store shut down so I feel no qualms aquiring games however I see fit. Though there seems little reason to do so after the 360 and PS3 since most games play on pc too now.

DS and 3DS are hard to replicate well on a single screen device. So i get those, but there are newer handheld emulators with dual screens. Nintendo also keeps shutting down 3DS emulators so progress is slow. Vita emulation is still in its infancy.

PSP and GBA wouldn't be worth investing in. Both play great on handheld emulators. Home consoles I'd just emulate or newer ones usually have a pc port. There are some games stuck on consoles that don't emulate well, so if one of those is a fav maybe buy the console.

  • And now a white man. But more important than race or gender I think people care more because they were US citizens and were murdered in broad daylight. Their murder and rape of immigrants is being done behind closed doors. Sure a story leaks out here and there but we lack the visceral impact of a video.

  • They've shot plenty of US citizens too.

  • I think those are questions you should definitely ask. I'd save them for the end of the interview but definitely ask.

  • Just a few odd chinese windows programs to flash random devkits. They run in WINE but can't pass USB through to actually flash them. Keep an offline windows 10 laptop around for such scenarios. I don't want that shit on my system in any form.

  • Physical media does force you to interact with it differently and i do appreciate it in 2026. I like being able to put on an LP or cassette and not be worried about the algorithm telling me what to play or noy being able to easily skip tracks i don't love. It makes me consider the album as a whole. I like being able to flip through my collection and find a record i haven't heard in 10 years, that would never get suggestef by an algorithm.

I'm not sure I'd like using a type writer, seems like it real pain in the ass. I've used film as a kid and remember it being very fiddly even without doing any of the development myself. I know I ruined more than one roll of film being dumb.

That being said I do like digital devices that replicate that tactile analog feel. I love my remarkable tablet, its just an eink notebook/PDF reader. It helps me think out ideas and keeps me focused. Unlike a paper notebook if I lose it the data is saved to thr cloud. I chose a digital camera that had physical access to the main settings you would adjust, because i hate menu diving. Same with digital synths, get one with close to one function per knob.
