  • Too late, please advise.

  • My coworker and i usually nerd out over some space shit but he keeps being excited for space x stuff. I always tear that down because fuck Elon. Other people are still doing cool space shit to get excited about.

  • I have barely had any of those issues in almost 20 years of linux use. The worst I remember dealibg with was cups back in the day. Certainly almost everything I've installed linux on in the last 10 years has just worked.

The only exception has been installing linux on old chrome books.

  • Can confirm summer is the rainiest season in the PNW. Absolutely nothing to see here.

  • Fuck you Shorsey!

  • No its paywalled. A 20 minute read or so.

  • How many midichlorians does a mandalorian have if a mandalorian could have midichlorians?

  • I think he means midichlorians.

  • I'm missing those from my collection.

  • Close, a little further north. Columbia river. Oregon to Washington.

  • Does it have raspberry jamming capabilities?

  • Add on Solus too. It is an independent distro.

  • I have to cross a bridge over one of the largest rivers in America.

  • I work with a lot of industrial machines that use all sorts of weird old computers most have been running pretty much non stop for 20-30 years. HP unix, Irix, solaris and windows NT are the least obscure computers I come across. Every week it seems like i run into something new (old). We have a few running on PC98s with a weird english version of J-DOS, computers with RTOS's like QNX and LynxOS and probably some other shit that i have yet to encounter.

Sadly newer machines just run windows or in a few lucky cases linux. The IT department always trys to manage the windows machines hooked up to the network and breaks them with their anti virus spyware crap.

  • And thus awoke a dark urge in the mind of JD Vance.

  • I never got sucked into his con luckily but I'll forgive anyone liking Elon pre cave incident. But after that it just became more apparent with each passing day what a lying asshat he is.

I wouldn't even eat Elon now. Thaf meat is rotten.

  • Its fucking impossible to get new kids to read the manual. They just resort to asking others for stuff they could look up. When I was new I asked the old timers as a last resort. Not because they'd be mean about it, but because I know I wouldn't learn as well just being handed information.

  • I got a fairly crappy picnic blanket for my 5yr anniversary. Logo was peeling off immediately. Threw it in the trunk of my car and forgot about it. Came in handy when I had to take my mom to ER during peak covid and couldn't wait inside with her. I used it as a pillow to sleep in my car and wait.

  • A few years ago we haf these stupid mandatory AI classes all about how AI could help you do your job better. It was supposed to be multiple parts but we never got passed the first one. I think they realized it wouldn't help most of the company but did leave our bespoke chatbot up for our customers/sales people. It is pretty good at helping with our products but I assume a lot of tuning has been done. I assume if we fed a local AI our data we could make it helpful but none of them have more than a basic knowledge of anything I do on a day to day basis.
