    I work in IT and have no problem setting this up for my self. The issue lies in maintaining it, keeping everything up to date and secure.

    I don't want a second job. I just want it to work and I am prepared to pay for it.

  • I find the left one better, but still very cluttered.

    Many categories could be merged to keep it more glanceable and create less choice paralysis.

    The list to the left is the way to go, but maybe we should have subcategories or some other type of grouping within them?

    I don't know UX design, but I know I feel they both are a bit much to take in and not intuitive to navigate.

    I like the Gnome settings app better! 😄

  • First thing I did on my Fairphone 4 was to flash iode OS on it.

    I don't know much about bootloaders and such, but I was done and happy within an hour after purchasing it.

    Also, if I am not mistaken, I think warranty is still valid if you run custom ROMs.

  • I used to almost always use an as low f/number as possible, but after some time I have learned moderation and I think this is the kind of experience that led me there :)

    Just got myself a a7iii as well. Very happy with it!

    Yeah, maybe i could have used a warm yellow light to artificially light it up from behind, but I don't have that sort of equipment 😄

    The sun had probably done it for me had it not just passed below the horizon.

  • I think the crowd you are describing are just the wave of technological first adopters who usually have these traits.

    As Lemmy becomes more mainstream, the less privacy focused users will grow in numbers and soon you will have more of this type of posts.
