I'm playing Harvestella, which is an extremely good RPG with a farming minigame. Calling it a life-sim is quite the mischaracterization. I guess they felt that goes hand in hand with farming?
Anyway I've been extremely impressed with the writing - the sidequests in particular are very strong. The tone is earnest with a strong amount of wackiness which one might call Final Fantasy-esque.
Combat seems to have some XIV flavor, especially in the boss encounters: there are adds, telegraphed aoes, and dps checks.
