See, this is probably one of the greatest benefits of power sources like wind and solar: the ability for individuals to produce their own electricity without the need to invest in hundreds of millions (or billions) in energy production facilities and infrastructure.
One the other, I understand why people are forced to drive under desperate circumstances to get to work, doctors appointments, etc. because public transit in most places is so bad it’s worthless.
I read it— but, more importantly, I also know the one thing that China has which constantly allows them to undercut Western manufacturing: cheap labor.
They’re mad because they’re terrified that, in order to compete without paying slave wages for Chinese labor, they might have to gasp! get paid less to make up the difference! Not smaller profits! Oh, no!
