  • isn't this solving a problem that doesn't really exist? I'd have thought most trans people on dating apps would be fairly up front about it... you know for safety or even just expectations management? I can't speak from experience, my dating life predates the rise of dating apps

  • Laughs in Fedora Atomic

  • Opt-in does not matter, if I message or email someone who has it on, my personal data has been collected without my knowledge or consent.

This shouldnt have been built in the first place, it's irresponsible

  • They make their money in azure now. AzureAD, cloud services, intune (managing win/mac/android even Linux). Windows and office are just hobby projects compared to the revenue those generate.

  • I've seen KIMJI and Aoc do movies, but not very regularly. There's been a few re-encodes clearly done by non groups, probably just running actual releases through handbrake or rav1e or something

  • there's a bit of AV1 re-encoding on usenet, it usually comes much later and with little consistency

  • I get over the air guide in tvheadend, but you can configure it to pull xml based guides off the internet if you prefer.

  • Honestly the experience of Jellyfin, Tvheadend and Kodi is these days nicer than MCE ever was

  • the idea is good, but the reality is it gives anyone the ability to search everything you've ever looked at. If the data exists it can be exploited. for ill or profit

  • And then

    They retconned it

  • I run it in podman in user context, root is not required

  • I got a 2022 Hyundai Kona EV. It does have a touch screen, but most functions can be done with buttons, except for navigation. It does have Android auto, but you don't have to use it. It has an aux port or Bluetooth audio as an option

  • Dumbphone maybe not. But a Linux phone that is fully functional and eschews the corporate app eco system? Yes please

I admit I would miss tap to pay tho

  • I looked at this when replacing my TV. If you want a nice panel the options are pretty limited, or you have to pay for commercial sets or a projector. I settled on creating separate VLAN for my smarttv and limiting what apps are installed on it and sourcing a blocklist for all its tracking shit.

  • Yeah I wouldn't be all that interested either

  • its clear that eventually all the office apps will be web apps in either your browser or their own individual chromium instances. At least it means Linux users will finally get Microsoft office 🙃

  • Where do you live that power is so cheap that you can spin that much rust and also can you run extension lead to my place?

  • Pro, Enterprise and Education SKUs have less of these "features" enabled

  • Nothing, someone who never needed access to the RHEL snapshot source is butt hurt that it only exists as part of centOS stream, making it harder for community rebuilds to exist.

It's no big deal for 95% of users, truly a nonissue. That last 5% can buy RHEL for production or use it for free for personal hosting or development.
