  • He's said some things...

I guess it's a start, though I hope he calls them out more directly. He was pretty close to Francis after all, and Francis even donated his popemobile to be turned into a mobile clinic for Gaza (no doubt to draw media attention to what Israel is doing).

  • I want to add that the people in charge of these policies have repeatedly made statements showing that their true feelings/intent aren't about legal/illegal status:

    • Stephen Miller said in public that the 9-0 Supreme Court ruling to bring back Kilmar Abrego Garcia (whose deportation to a modern day concentration camp was, by their own admission, an "administrative error") actually said the opposite of what it did. He's made a lot of off-hand statements about migrants, usually to avoid mentioning their legal status, to the tune of "they don't look like you" or "you wouldn't want him as your neighbor" which is literally just racism.
    • Tom Homan "border czar" said in an interview that to prevent family separation, they can just deport the whole family.
    • Kristi Noem has made few appearances but each time it seems like she's "cruelty is the point" personified. For instance, she recently did a photo op at CECOT with prisoners behind her with the classic "this is what you get if you come here illegally" speech. But to me the worst part is when, totally unforced, she wrote in her book about how she killed her puppy with a bullet to the head because it wasn't keen on killing animals on its first hunting trip and wanted to play instead. When asked about it, she said that "that's just what you do on the farm" and started listing other animals she'd killed for mild annoyances.

These people are psychopaths. They saw it's easy to suck up to Trump and convince him to support their ideas in exchange for treating him like dear leader. I maintain that Trump is the only one in that admin who isn't a soulless demon, but he's so easy to flatter.

  • even though intensive media brainwashing no one even seriously believe Russia will attack us (well, maybe except the usual tinfoil brains)

I'm getting flashbacks to Jan-Feb 2022. That's what people thought about Ukraine despite intelligence reports warning that Putin is making moves.

Of course, Poland is in EU and NATO, so it's definitely in a better position, but keep in mind that all deterrents have limits — as we speak there's a full-on war being fought between two nuclear powers.

The promises of an alliance treaty are, at the end of the day, just that: promises. Posturing to scare off potential attackers. Just because we've never seen someone actually call that bluff, doesn't mean it will never happen.

A guy like Putin could gamble that NATO countries won't send troops to Poland because they'll make similar calculations as towards Ukraine: that it's not worth risking nuclear war. He already sees how NATO countries right now are behaving, pussyfooting around giving aid to Ukraine, so he could believe they will approach Article 5 with the same limp attitude. Especially now that USA is talking about leaving NATO and antagonizing Europe like never before.

Plus, all the "why should we help Ukraine" type rhetoric coming out of the European MAGA-aligned sphere is easily adaptable to Poland: "Why should we help Poland? Just because they're in NATO? I'm not a globalist, I look after the interest of my own country first because I'm a patriot. I don't want to send my people to fight NATO's wars. I refuse to die for the globalists!"

  • I read this as pro-piracy and anti-AI, generally speaking, since the former is for personal use (art should be free to share and enjoy) while the latter is for commercial use (you should not be allowed to freely profit off the work of artists).

  • I think our democracies have trouble adapting to new times. They're like an old OS where all the exploits have been figured out and are freely shared among attackers, yet we refuse to slap on an antivirus.

Case in point: anti-democracy candidates should be banned from the democratic process. They're using democracy against itself. Călin Georgescu was banned for this reason as well as the 0 funds thing, because really his biggest issue was that he had direct ties to the modern day legionary movement (the Legion were the Romanian nazis back in the day, even collaborated with Hitler and did a bunch of pogroms under the military dictatorship of Ion Antonescu). So now this new guy George Simion, leader of our far right party (of which CG was a member a few years ago but then kicked out for being too on the nose about his sympathies for the Legion and Ion Antonescu), he's literally running as his proxy and said he'll install him as PM. So, I ask you: why is this possible? Why ban CG from running but not ban his BFF who literally everyone agrees is only running as a proxy for CG? It's just bad law enforcement. Democracy OS needs an antivirus update.

EDIT: Forgot to tie the idea to what you said.

So, in this context, the exploits are basically the same. Information is also global, so all you need is some guys in a central place (like, say, USA) being heavily financed, and foreign influence can spread easily to local influencers looking to make a quick buck by just copying the talking points. A foreign government which wants the EU dismantled, such as Russia or USA (yes, USA: the authors of Project 2025 are gearing up for this next, and all the Trump-like leaders that popped up in Europe in the last decades were part of Steve Bannon's efforts to create a fascist internationale), can additionally just directly fund local influencers throughout Europe as they did during CG's campaign in Romania, or as they did with USA influencers at TENET Media who they gave $10m (which in the context of a foreign government's budget is peanuts — it's obvious there's a lot more money being spent on such operations, and they admit it).

To get an idea for the kind of money conservative influencers are paid, we can look at an example of USA money funding USA influencers: Steven Crowder was offered a contract by The Daily Wire which he performatively turned down in public, calling it a "slave contract", because really he wanted to make his own media conglomerate to complete with them. TDW in response revealed that they did this because Crowder (who pretends he's independent, like all conservative pundits do) had a previous contract with The Blaze that was just expiring, and then showed the unredacted contract they offered him: it was for $50m.

Put together all the dark money with the opportunists who think that by emulating these influencers/politicians they can get rich or powerful quickly, not to mention the real extremists who seize this opportunity to revive their sick ideologies, and you have a thriving ecosystem all pulled in the same direction by greed and lack of morals. It's really just scams all the way down.

  • Once you have over a billion in wealth, you’ve won the game of life.

More like the game of 100 lives. I'm using $10m as a gross estimation for what a person living comfortably needs to spend throughout their whole life. Sure it varies by country and other factors, but this amount should more than cover a lifestyle in which you literally don't need to worry about a thing. No need for sketchy investments either: just stuff it in a deposit and you could live off the interest alone, but that's assuming you have all the money at once.

  • She was briefly on Trump's plane. Around the debate with Harris. It's likely he took the "eating the pets" line from her, since that was a rumor spread in nazi circles, particularly on Gab.

It's also possible they had an affair during that time. MTG got really angry with Loomer and they started trashing each other on Twitter for all to see. It was glorious.

  • I mean... It's Laura Loomer. She's like bottom of the barrel QAnon nazi.

  • Stalinism was no extreme left. It was fascism, but with Marxist aesthetics.

Fascists are con men, and cons work on what's popular with the masses. You can build an arbitrary dogma and cult of personality around anything, even Marxism.

I'd argue that Marxism is actually great for that purpose: it gets a lot of stuff right so it's close to reality, there's an us vs them dynamic already built in, and it's just complicated enough to the average person that it makes it easy for an authoritarian con man to disingenuously simplify it, distort it and dogmatize it into basically a state religion. Then it's just about pointing fingers to identify the enemy, i.e. who is burgeois/reactionary/etc and needs to go.

  • I agree. The difference between the two is stark.

  • Surprised I had to scroll so long for this article. This is probably the best example (recent history too) of Bill's actions killing kids.

I'm still glad he called Elon out. Let them fight.

  • I guess it makes sense. I wouldn't understand you either from 50km away.

  • This is ridiculous. Wtf Sweden!

  • In a world where Kyle fucking Rittenhouse was found not guilty, the flimsy evidence they have on Luigi should never stick. But the goal here is a swift win, so they're trying to frame an innocent man and make him an example.

  • I mean, the wall is still being built so just wait it out. That way the US will pay for it.

  • Everyone knows that MS13 tattoos use Calibri, the default font in MS Word and MS Paint since Office 2007. They also float in the air like 2D holograms, and when photographed they appear sharper than the rest of the picture.
