  • Nah I'll be like the old nonna who is the only one who can only make the pannetone the traditional way, but I can connect a GPU to the mobo

  • Tig gives their Twitter account to others to run a lot of the time. it's often someone else writing jokes or funny tweets on it (or at least it used to be, I quit Twitter years ago)

  • He tried it in college. Gave up. Started again after diagnosis. Refused chemo and radiotherapy which could've helped as he went into remission several times, but probably needed the rejected therapies to stick.

  • It's part of the narrative of Bioshock Infinite - a guy has a matching mark on his hand to the poster. The cat in the meme is the "Boykisser" who generally represents m4m attraction, but has been repurposed in many ways for other orientations.

  • between the UK and France, and then Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine point 1 is fairly well covered. Of course the US has more, but it's not a total wipeout without them.

  • I think everyone in this story is bad.

If you avoid joining your own military, do so. Even more so someone else's military.

  • With money. From [Any given businesses' - in this case Michelin's] perspective - tax payer money is as good as any, and the path to get it is through bureaucracy.

Supporting culinary arts is a reasonable use of arts funding, to me.

  • it's also a loss leader for Michelin, it costs more to keep the food reviews going than they make for it, so it requires support to run.

  • I think it may have happened to me. I had a file saved to my documents at work, I go to check on it and it's got a red X and won't open.

I also sync the documents directory to gdrive and because onedrive deleted it, so did gdrive.

It's unimportant work stuff though on a work machine so it doesn't bother me that much.

  • I work in logistics. The whole industry has been saying amongst ourselves the whole time there's barely a chance that suppliers of assembled goods will move the majority of their warehouses of manufactured products to the US. Let alone the manufacturing itself.

    Absolutely delulu.

  • yes. I think arms company marketing vastly overstates the safety and configurability of weapons systems.

  • You have heard that it was said, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." But I say to you, if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to her and shoot her in the face three times.

  • Paltry? unless they've started giving away chickens since I last watched.

  • God, its terrifying how quickly I could find personal information about him and his family online too. If not this guy, something bad's gonna happen to one of these guys, which will be its own tipping point.

This is not a call for violence or doxxing.

  • well how else are you going to know I've visited if I can't go "Deutchland... sorry haha still thinking in German..."

  • that's what I said, maybe you misread?

    but minor note of clarification:

vault 13 was intended to be a control vault- no experiment except normal behavior until it opened.

however, we find out in fo1 there was a mistake and instead of getting 2 GECKS and a supply of water chips, it got 3 GECKS and 1 water chip, due to a shipping mix up. This was not intentional by vault tec tho

vault 15, the only other vault also in fo1 was an experimentation of having people of mixed races, backgrounds and social standings all given equal status inside the vault

the majority of experimentation in FO1 is unrelated to Vault Tec and more to do with The Master and his FEV experiments
