people who earn 200k/yr still have to work to live. ~15k a month net is a lot but if you have kids, pets, a mortgage, medical bills, student loans, car, phone etc and you trying to eat too, you can't suddenly say "phew! I've had enough work for the next 40 years, time to live on 4k a year - easy!"
Would you level that criticism at a welder, at a longshoreman, at a truck driver? they can earn 6 fig salaries too
