Consequences?! For a conservative politician?! It was a surprise to see him get anything at all, honestly. Nice to see them kinda sorta try at least, far better than i can say for us here in the US
It's at the officer's discretion, apparently. The reporter was unable to ask them directly but another officer commented briefly and asked the officer on behalf of the reporter. The officer in question had nothing to add. That's the whole explanation we're given. It sounds like a possible case of "windshield bias", "car brain", or similar--the stereotyping of non-drivers by drivers
This is what I've been thinking about. What do they do with people that intentionally avoid social media? Is it simply presumed they're hiding something? To that end, would it make sense to run a 'fake' social media account where they just post and share the most politically neutral/milquetoast memes and commentary just so there's something in their history? I have always disliked the idea that one simply has to interact with social media or else be labeled an outcast/weirdo/suspicious person.
It feels like it comes from the same school of thought that the Internet and/or computers need to be used for everything...i don't like the way society continues moving away from "real" methods of paying bills and handling important personal affairs by replacing the old ways with "better" online alternatives. There are definitely benefits to both approaches, i just don't like when a "paper option" gets eliminated entirely in favor of electronic.
Just having a senior moment over here, please forgive my rambling 👴
Solution: move to a small town, Mr/Mrs Entitlement! Somewhere cheaper to live, where coincidentally the pay is lower and opportunities aren't as abundant. Also extremely limited mass-transit options but hey that's why you buy a car and get tied up in that whole mess. Not to mention property values doubling/tripling post-covid but I'm sure most folks have a few $100k laying around, especially in these particularly prosperous times.
*Also arrests legal citizens claiming that their credentials are fake (while simultaneously providing no credentials or identification outside of ICE garb)
I'm probably not too far away from them--I'll see if i can track them down and tell them not to bother. Someone on the Internet said their plan is a waste of time ¯(ツ)/¯
They might do it for the cute part though, i suppose. Kids these days!
I don't think I've ever seen one with something in the bed.
That's usually the case here in the States as well. Not to mention how high the bed sits! You have to lift stuff to shoulder height to load the damn things, lol. They've become caricatures of trucks at this point.
Well if anything it proves his pedigree. I also have a strong feeling this is someone we're going to be hearing about for a very very long time.
