I was meaning more what we would typically refer to as “right” wing being the parties in charge ie Trump, Putin, Orban etc. The EU for the most part is considered “left”. An economic and political union trying to do good by all its members, free movement, free trade, free market, rules and regulations, legislations and protections for its people and the rule of law etc. it has its faults sure but it is quite social leaning.

I mean given their peaceful history for the last 20 years of not attacking and expanding their borders, I can totally see why you’d think they would stop completely on the imaginary line.
I mean they totally stopped after Moldova, Georgia and Crimea.
This isn’t a marvel-esque situation where an invading force has spent 4 years gaining ground and checks notes suddenly stops.
Russia. They conscripted. They also ran out of them so had to empty prisons and use them. And when that wasn’t enough, conscripted again. And also enlist from overseas, offering lavish pay to Africans and Pakistanis et al for engineering and analytics jobs in the army but were actually sent to the front lines (so they’d die and not have to continue paying them).
A marked difference from conscription in defence of the homeland wouldn’t you say?
Ukraine can stop Russia. By continuing to stop them. One nation against the “mightiest” and largest nation on earth and in doing so proving that they (Russia) are in fact a paper dragon resting on their laurels and former glory.
Ukraine absolutely was not. They were never going to let Russia just invade them and take land. That’s a fallacy.
They may have done in 2014 under a pro-Russia government when they weren’t prepared but this time they were.
There is zero evidence of the peace talks nor of Us and UK sabotaging them or telling them to not accept. That is disinformation.
Russia has not sued for peace. Any time they have approached potential talks especially with the Orangutan, Russia have attacked harder both pre and post “negotiations”.
Peace talks after being invaded saying give us your land and we will stop hitting you are not peace talks. It would spur them on to do the same to other nations around Ukraine.
