  • No. Congress absolutely has the authority to enact legislation that overturns a court decision, even the Supreme Court.

    However, the disgusting piles of human shaped filth currently making up the Supreme Court would find some illogical excuse for why said law is unconstitutional. But only once one of there lackeys manages to appeal the issue all the way up the chain. But this process IS utterly corrupt and subverts the Constitution...not like they care. ¯(ツ)/¯

    But courts are given authority only to interpret existing legislation; their decisions do not restrict the legislature's authority to enact new laws. Thus the convoluted shit they come up with to abuse the appeals process, as mentioned.

  • I've seen headlines over and over recently claiming that the death toll in Gaza from the recent escalation was being reported lower than the actual numbers. So I'm kinda confused.

    Is there any reason Hamas would intentionally underreport the death toll? I can't think of anything that would make sense. But I should probably point out that the claim that the actual number is higher did not come from Hamas.

    Irregardless, the entire situation is appalling; this doesn't really change that fact.
