  • Thank you. Thank you very much. It's Gordon. Gordon Cole! And my shocks are on fire.

  • I'd play underworld. I think I've played most the TR games but I skipped that.

  • Very happy to see this. I completely understand the view not to use money to restore but I think people outside France should understand how much this church is more than a religious symbol and has become a symbol of national identity. It is literally the center of where all roads are measured in Paris and France. It is the place where the Parisii people decided to plant roots and took the towns people almost 200 years to complete and is one of the oldest (standing) most impressive gothic cathedrals in France. Sainte-chapelle was built in 6 years for reference. We like to think the Effiel Tower is the symbol of France but Notre Dame by many is seen as the most important structure in French history. I guess what I'm saying is of all the buildings this and the Effiel tower are the two that France will never let go to ruin.

  • I just realized that the most obvious choice for new players is Stardew Valley. I never really thought about it. Even newer Mario or Minecraft could be a barrier. Controlling cameras can be confusing and difficult for newer players. Stardew doesn't require you to be good at twin stick mechanics (although that is used for the slingshot if you want to do that). It gives you lots of encouragement and is very straightforward with missions. The screen is never cluttered with junk or pop-ups. It gets more complex as you progress but you'll never be "stuck". The fishing and fighting games teaches how to use button control and timing. Everything feels rewarding like you are making progress. Not to mention it's pretty universally loved and will run on almost any PC and is available on all consoles or tablet or mobile devices

  • I was shocked when it was announced. A game made 9 years ago that no one was really asking for a remake of for full retail of $60? I think a lot of people see it for what it is a cash grab during Halloween season made by a 3rd party company.

  • Interesting read. Seems like their video game division was fucked over by the film division (covid) and no amount of leadership was going to correct that. To bad. they were really just getting some brand recognition as the cool artistic indie game company.

  • I've played all the Batman games. Not Gotham knights and I have never even heard of the suicide squad game. But I instantly ignore all online multiplayer games so I guess that could be the reason.

  • Usually ramp up the horror/spooky games about this time every year. Hades 2, Ghostwire Tokyo, Alan wake "American nightmare" dlc which is terrible so far. Resident Evil 2 remake.

Alien Isolation. This game really nails the original alien aesthetics. Not a perfect game but I'm happy it's a love letter to the original movie.

  • Highly recommend not watching the trailer! It gives away so many of the iconic surprises of the book. Seriously just read the book or go in blind to this show/movie. WTF is wrong with trailers showing us everything now.

  • Good luck. Snake.

    • I've got one hand in my pocket and the other one is holding a .45
    • Never miss (Not once)
    • Don't slip the grip

  • Yah. Pearl Jam spent years in limbo because they thought everyone would join the fight. But no big name artists ever did because no one wanted to rock the boat. During COVID ticketmaster / clear channel/liveNation/ iHeartRadio whatever have continued to consolidate. They own the tickets they own the resell websites they own most of the big venues they can demand merch sales at the venue. If you refuse they can remove you from playing their venues.

At this point it would take 10+ huge artists to final kill this beast. We are talking Taylor Swift / Beyonce big that actually have complete creative control. I don't even think most top artists have that. They would have to organize everything and they would probably lose union contracts for stage craft and audio, lights, transportation. Basically they would have to start their own ticket & touring companys that outdoor fields and sports areas? and would have to stick it out for years and convince a good majority to stop buying tickets from any place using Ticketmaster.

  • This is one of the saddest stories in gaming. Author was depressed and friends help him create a game. Game is considered one of the greatest games ever created only the publisher screws original team out of the rights to the game mimicking the exact type of short sighted bullshit that creatives have to deal within the Disco Elysium world.

  • Very happy that they dedicated the time but man there still some weird pop in stuff, audio problems, clipping through walls, rough animations. I played yesterday and Claire was just standing in the middle of a car talking in a cut scene. I respect they went real big, but still rough around the edges coming off of Witcher 3.

  • It's sad to hear but I think we all need more news stories of people dying trying to take photos in nature. While hiking the past 10 years I'm surprised how many people at the top of cliffs are just gathering for selfies. Idk why they don't realize that not going to the absolute edge maybe 5-6 feet away is the exact same photo and tripping backwards wouldn't immediately kill them.

  • Oh yah. Check out some of the creatures from his work. They knew what they were doing.

  • I'm sure no artist will ever paint her in an unflatering way after hearing this. Did NGA leak this or did she make a public statement?

  • What about rclone? I've found it to be amazing for cloning or copying.
