Klauen geht an normalen Kassen eh besser.
Pathetisch!

Europe@feddit.org•Europeans are beating high gas prices by installing heat pumpsEnglish
3·6 days agoThey kinda do, but it’s not as easy as we learned in Grade 8 because there is greedy investors, cartels and a worldwide market with all kinds of different players involved (including states that try to keep the price low for voters and others that try to get it even higher for their leaders’ pockets.
And of course a 20% decrease in supply doesn’t mean 20% increase in price, but the price will increase until there is 20% less demand, which doesn’t happen because whole countries are dependent on gas as they did not invest in renewable energy.

Europe@feddit.org•Europeans are beating high gas prices by installing heat pumpsEnglish
15·7 days agoEveryone using a heat pump also reduces gas demand which lowers the gas price.
So basically a heat pump is not only good for yourself but also for everyone else, even if you don’t look at the climate.
That will of course switch when there is such a small number of households using gas that the grid will be a lot more expensive for those. But by the time we are at that point we can probably afford to gift them some heat pumps too.

Europe@feddit.org•365-metre giant: World's tallest wind turbine built in GermanyEnglish
3·7 days agoYeah but where do you want to get your electricity from? Wind&Solar is the only option without massive climate and environmental pollution, dependence on autocrat countries and international shipping, nuclear waste and danger of critical sabotage and possible terrorist attacks.
Getting used to wind turbines is kinda worth the upside of having clean, reliable, cheap and independent energy.

2·7 days agoAs someone who lived close to an active open lignite pit, I’m happy to live near wind turbines now.
They may or may not be ugly, you get used to them.
What I care for more is the fact that I don’t have lung problems and cough half the year.
