  • Chilean here, we have two classics:

    1. Completo (as in "complete", also known as Dinámico for "dynamic"): Diced tomato, sauerkraut, mashed avocado, chilean american sauce (finely chopped pickled white onions, carrots and pickles) and mayo.
    2. Italiano ("italian"): Diced tomato, mashed avocado and mayo.

I'd normally go for the latter and save the former for special occasions.

  • I think they also want the curated way that apple let's an application into the app store.

the play store is kinda not very restrictive...

  • no la dirijo pero siempre son bienvenidos a crear sus comunidades regionales en feddit.cl

  • is this the update where I can delete from the address bar history on Android?

  • True Blood, season 2 IIRC?

  • I used Skype a lot to call landlines from outside the US, but now I need a replacement, do any of you have recommendations? I'm testing Rebtel, but it isn't cutting it for me, it connects like 1 out of 5 times.

  • my theory is that (most) people want their money's worth. if you have two phones, one bigger than the other, but you don't know the prices of each, the perceived value of the bigger one is higher, even in they're both the same price you wouldn't assume right away that the bigger one had to cut things out to offset the bigger display.

phones are also a big gift item, and people are not concerned with niche likes in those cases.

I'd say that the increased popularity of foldable phones currently speak of our desire of smaller phones (my partner at least says it's the reason she loves hers) with a higher perceived value. I hope marketing departments are taking the right notes from these and not that foldable is better.

  • tener el Starbucks cerrado me ha hecho redescubrir mi cafetería de barrio, gracias sindicato de trabajadores de Starbucks

    1. Odin Sphere
    2. not a lot more
  • it's Cmd+Backspace, and moves the file to the trashcan, it doesn't delete it

  • the problem I have worth my robo vacuum is hair, I live with a long haired human and a long haired cat, so the vacuum needs constant maintenance. I normally resort to a broom...

  • there's a not so small possibility that development of meat growing tech and patent expression will give us a niche market of not-available-before-for-ethical-reasons meats, like white rhinoceros burgers, cat and dog steaks, human fillets.

  • talking to girls is not that hard, dude

  • you have access to the internet, an eng degree and you at least write English fairly well. Are you looking for only local jobs? how about remote opportunities? Many companies will hire remote work with no experience, there's also job brokers, where you are hired for a project and then moved to another. These are by no means the best kind of job, but they can get you back on your feet.

  • Demi Lovato's first album, Don't Forget. It absolutely slaps but it's difficult for me to talk about it.

  • oh don't get me wrong if I had a plan for it I'd be doing it. I've always found it really weird given the impact that Electron had in app development, why Firefox never tried to ride that train. I know of one short lived effort to take the engine out of the browser.

  • they need to offer a better alternative to Electron. once that happens, you'll have Firefox everywhere. People will code their SPAs to run in Firefox first, recommend it to their users, and accelerate the development of better APIs.

  • I don't hate commercials themselves, advertisement itself for me is natural, everyone advertises. My problem is when they're unprovoked. An individual looking for a job will search for job offers, which are ads. A person who's watching a news segment about a hurricane is not looking to also buy a smell-water-bottle.
