  • Same here, before I found out it is literally impossible for me to see them I had one of the books and I would stare at it for hours trying to make it work. Of all the annoyances of being half blind, not being able to see magic eyes is the one that bothers me most.

  • Frickin Milwaukee calling water fountains "bubblers". They know damn well nobody else calls them that, yet they still act like they didn't know what your talking about when you ask where the water fountain is.

Disclaimer: my information is from 30 years ago and may be slightly out of date.

  • Wouldn't "woke-free" coffee just be decaf?

  • Nothing quite like a booty beer after a swim.

  • There is also the one where you use a bent wire to score the plastic liner on the inside of the can then put the acid in the can and swirl it around and pour it out. This leaves the can looking perfectly normal but makes it so you can easily rip the can perfectly in two to the amazement of your chemistry students.

  • Yeah, my "SUV" and my wife's sedan take up almost exactly the same footprint.

  • I have a buddy that uses his to spoof people's apartment swimming pool access cards.

  • I always say I want mine to read "He died the way he lived" and then say how I died. The less sense it makes the better.

  • My 2023 Mazda has a touch screen but you never actually have to touch it. In fact, they put it far enough away that it is difficult to touch while driving and disable the touch when the car is moving. There are knobs and buttons in-between the front seats that control it. Also none of the important stuff is controlled through the infotainment system, it is just settings, satnav, and radio (or Android Auto/carplay). Not having to interact with a touch surface while driving is one of my favorite features of my car, and there are a lot of other things that I love about it too.

  • When I was still at university (20+ years ago) a girl asked my to help her figure out why her Internet in her dorm room wasn't working. My first question was "is it plugged in?" She said it was, so that evening I went to her room to check it out. First thing I did was find the end of her network cable and plug it back into her computer. When I pointed out that she had said it was definitely plugged in she responded with "I thought you meant the power cable". I almost pointed out that if the power cable was not plugged in then I'm pretty sure she would not have been complaining that the internet was not working but at this point it was obvious that she was just using her "computer problems" to get me to come to her room and that she was the one that unplugged the cable. The most ridiculous part is that all she had to say was "hey, you should come to my room" and I would have happily obliged.

  • I was the first in my my friend group in highschool to have a car and a cell phone. My friends would call my cell collect from a payphone and just say where they wanted me to meet them. Never needed a name or explanation, if I got a collect call with a location I would decline it and be there as soon as I could.

  • The theory that I heard that made the most sense is that he thinks by renaming it he can circumvent the Biden ban on new oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

  • And here I am still waiting on FEMA to get their shit together and get me the money they owe me from over 3 months ago.

  • At my old job whenever we had to be at work extra early the next day and we were debating if we should go out drinking anyway my boss would always say "if we are going to be pissed off we might as well be pissed off and hungover." He really did not like mornings.

  • My wife texted me earlier saying it was a good thing I was out of town. Hers said it was currently 118° with a high of 124°. It barely got into the 60s today.
