  • Yes, I am still young and there's much to learn still. Just there's EVEN MORE OF THAT for younger people. It's called perspective.

  • Depends on how old the person saying that. I'm only in my late 30's and anyone in their early 20's does feel like a kid. Yes, 22 is an adult, but you've barely just scratched the surface of life experiences.

  • Red used to be my favorite color. Then I worked at Target years ago and it's been teal ever since.

But I will fight you over pastels, at least in watercolor.

  • I only found out about kiwis because of Hi Chews candies. Apparently they really do use real fruit juice 🤣 Noticed that my candy tasted like "burning" and thought I should probably stop. Some juice with kiwi a few months later made me get checked out by the doc to be sure.

The doctor told me I could eat as much as I want, I'd just be uncomfortable. But there was no risk of death. Antihistamines would probably help, but like you I find it easy enough to just avoid them. Although seasonal allergies are starting to make me reconsider that...

  • Only food allergy I have and know of is kiwis(how I found out I had allergies at all). Tests confirmed it and when the doctor was explaining it to me he said that birch trees are part of the same family and as such I'd likely get allergies from their pollen as well. My allergies are "scratchy throat and watery eyes" type, not anaphylactic shock "my throat closes up" type.

  • Interesting. I don't think it goes both ways. I'm allergic to kiwis and anything in the birch family, but never had a problem with latex.

  • Don't be a douche. I'm just saying it's less complex than it seems and if 3d printers can figure out open spurce, this is comparable.

  • An laser printer is just a reverse scanner. It's basically a resin printer with toner. We're well past those being diy doable. It's a couple of wires to deliver a charge to the drum and paper, a laser to remove the charge from the drum for the image, and a reservoir for the toner for the drum to pick up. The most complex part is the laser and mirrors for alignment, which is well into hobby diy territory.

  • If you rarely print, your cartridges dry out and the cost of replacing those is more expensive than if you just went to the store for the few prints you do. But if you're willing to pay for convenience, I understand, but that's all your paying for, not quality or reliability or consistency, especially with a >£500 printer. That's still in beginner/budget territory.

  • Unless you're a professional printing hundreds of photos and buy the proper industrial printer, it's always cheaper to take your photos to a store and have them printed there than deal with your own inkjet. Budget inkjets are a waste, through and through.

  • So close, yet so far....

  • You realize I'm the one who originally said Speed Queen and called you performative and you've been being a douche to a completely different person thinking it was me, right?

  • I mean, the option is already there but here we have someone whining that they'd gladly pay extra if the option was available. What else was it if not performative?

Edit: didn't realize I was replying to actual OP. If I'm a dick hole, you're a twatwaffle. Given the answer by multiple people and all you want to do is argue with them. Exactly what I'm saying: your outrage is performative only. You don't actually give a shit and won't put out the extra money - you'll just whine and complain on the internet like a big baby.

  • You can already but you won't because it's 3-4x the price. Speed Queen is one of them. Your comment is just performative.

  • And was debunked then as being bullshit. Numerous other people posted the logs of their machines on the network and no one even came close to these numbers. Ffs, that kind of data usage would imply VIDEO STREAMING. You're not getting that amount from usage/diagnostic data. And I love people saying "oh well it's audio recording you" with zero proof, let alone that none of these machines are even voice activated(themselves, not referring to using it with Alexa/Google home, in which case the thing recording you isn't Samsung).

It's just fear mongering with no proof because it aligns with things we've seen before and want to believe is true.

  • Hey look, it's a person being given a tiny amount of perceived power and immediately abusing it! Just like those reddit mods you hate so much. Interesting....

It's almost like human nature is human nature and human shittiness transcends platforms.

  • Call me crazy but I remember a few of these exact circumstances over the years. Always passed off as an accident or suicide or something.....

  • Outdated? You mean the euphemism treadmill took them over? Exactly like I'm warning about pedophile? Oh no, it's exactly what I said.

    Eat shit and die.

Oh, don't worry, it's not what you think. I redefined "eat" to mean "live" because eating is how you live. "Shit" now just refers to something long. And "die" is used ironically now to mean "prosper". So really I said "love long and prosper", the words just evolved is all. You shouldn't take offense. Language evolves. It's perfectly fine to take established words and completely change them like you said.

So again, eat shit and die.

  • Pot of crabs.... were just a giant pot of crabs pulling each other back in.
