  • Oh, I didn't know you needed apple products, the most monopolistic tech company to exist, to survive. That explains why their fans are so rabbid. I better switch from Linux otherwise I'll die.

  • I'm pro nuclear based on the science, but I'm anti nuclear based on humanity. Nuclear absolutely can be run safely, but as soon as there's a for profit motive, corporations will try to maximize profits by cutting corners. As long as there's that conflict I don't blame people for being afraid.

  • I trust nuclear can be built safely, problem is I don't trust the humans building, maintaining, and running it to not cut corners. I flat out didn't trust nuclear that's run for profit as shareholders will demand cost cutting to maximize profits, and I didn't know if I'd trust publication funded nuclear to stay properly funded.

  • Assuming it's a real tweet my guess would be that the last reply appeared on their inbox out of context so they thought they were responding to the original tweet. Since Twitter is a shit platform with shit conversation structure I think it's likely assuming it's real.

  • Zero empathy. There are tons of reasons to right click that have nothing to do with copying, plus he's a complete moron to think that there's any way to prevent someone from saving something that's already downloaded on their computer.

  • Why isn't the company paying for it? Anyways, you could just export it to a different format and then back to Excel depending on which features you're using. But also, I think this is being paranoid. Microsoft isn't the NSA

  • I am a developer and that's exactly how I see it too. I think AI will be able to write PRs for simple stories but it will need a human to review those stories to give approval or feedback for it to fix it, or manually intervene to tweak the output.

  • All governments produce propaganda, even all people produce propaganda. But to treat both countries the same is ridiculous. The magnitude of propaganda Russia creates is way greater than most countries.

  • Checks and balances are about preventing a small faction of the government from gaining absolute control of the entire government. It's not about preventing a say, it's about preventing a total takeover that prevents anyone else from having a say in the future.

  • Almost nobody knows the academic definitions of most political ideologies, they're just all cable news buzzwords now. If you took a sample of the population I'd be surprised if even 5% could give you the correct academic definitions for the vast majority of political ideology terms.

  • These cowards need to finish the fucking sentence. "don't agree"with what exactly? Their right to exist?

  • Remember when they tried to make ninja, Rockstar, and guru a thing?

  • There's some studies that found that bone density could be affected, but considering the suicide rate of trans people I'm going to say that's a tiny sacrifice for the assurance that you can have the body your brain wants to be in.

  • I guess, but it's like a 2 foot high fence

  • Oh they for sure fucked up, I just mean that it was likely a mistake as opposed to them not caring. Pretty crazy for a huge corporation to overlook it though.

  • It's a Google office building, they definitely considered Wi-Fi before building it but they made a mistake. Compared to that building in England that turned into a glass death ray I think this was a less obvious mistake.

  • Russia waving the white flag would end the war equally as fast

  • Oh, I interpreted "recommended" as recommended as in tailored to your preferences. What they mean is that youtube won't show popular videos anymore. Still, doesn't seem like the wrong choice to me necessarily, but I'm personally not interested in the type of videos that have the highest popularity.

  • Recommending things when you're not logged in means they're tracking you without your consent. Why would anyone want that?
