  • I am the author of Strawberry Music Player and I would like you to remove it from the winget package manager.The source code repository and releases from https://codeberg.org/WetOtter44/StrawberryMusicPlayer that you use as source for these packages are not official. It is an unofficial clone of the official source code repository for Strawberry Music Player (https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry), with misleading releases tagged to the wrong commits. If this was a valid fork, it should be renamed to not misrepresent our community project, and any links should not point to our bug tracker and support forum. The person who uploaded these were given the binary installations files from me for testing purposes, he has since proven willing to harm the project, I won't share his real name, but as you can see by the profile on codeberg he is anonymous for these reasons. He may upload releases containing malicious executables. The official Windows releases for Strawberry Music Player are given to users on request, I do not want it included in a package manager where users can install Strawberry Music Player without any information on how to fund the project.
