NZ$5m is not that high. Auckland’s median house price hit $1m recently, $5m is not a stretch for an expensive inner city or beachside suburb. Queenstown average is $1.6m. Building costs in NZ are very high because most materials need to be imported, and property values keep growing for a complicated mix of reasons - immigration, neoliberal policies, etc.
One half received a single 21.5mg dose of DMT infused into a vein over 10 minutes. The other half received a placebo infused the same way. All of the participants had psychotherapy and follow-up assessments.
Patients given DMT improved significantly compared with the placebo group, as measured by scores on a standard depression questionnaire, with the antidepressant effects lasting from three to six months.
The DMT definitely has an impact, I guess you would need to go digging through the research to find the results of the questionnaire to compare both groups.
For me it’s not holding my breath, but pushing as much air into my diaphragm as possible, kind of like swallowing air and pushing it down until it hurts.
It’s extremely common in Europe. I regularly get messages with “15h”, “22h”, etc, but spoken is a bit of a mixed bag, you can usually use 12 hour time and know if it’s AM/PM from context, but sometimes you need to be specific.
Though the weirdest thing I’ve had to learn in Germany about time is, near where I live it’s common to say “one/three quarters [hour]”, instead of “quarter past/to [hour]”, so 10:15 is “one quarter 11”, and 10:45 is “three quarters 11”. It makes a little more sense when you know that “half 11” mean “half to 11”, not “half past” like is typical in English.
Might be platform specific. I’m on Apple Music and have added songs from a few parody AI artists, at most I will get 1 suggestion per week out of 25 songs on my new music playlist. Even when I went on a binge of Obscurest Vinyl his stuff quickly dropped off the list. I’m usually quite intentional about feeding the algorithm though.
I had a similar thought, do nothing, my (male) ex can have my dad’s body, and my dad can have another 30 years. Answer may change if I find a new partner.
There’s a similar plague of “degree mill” universities in Australia, often targeting Indian and Chinese students, who then end up overstaying their visa and/or working more hours than their student visa allows (more than 20hrs/week I think). It’s abuse of the system that makes it more difficult for legitimate international students attending a real university.
I’m beginning to think this guy is being sarcastic…
