Debian Stable with i3wm because I only had to think about it once when upgrading from Debian 12 to 13 where the new packages included the Alacritty update that changed their config format so I had to go and fix that.
I hate thinking about my computer's OS; it should just work and I don't have to think about it!
I am specifically referring to what is colloquially known as 'scrobbling', though Last.fm kind of owns the term but there are open alternatives and you can in theory host those open alternatives yourself if you are chronically allergic to relying on corporate services. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last.fm#Scrobbling
I am asking why you wouldn't simply use Last.FM, or it's alternatives, where you enter a mutually beneficial relationship in which they do all the work and give you aggregate statistics, and you give them listening statistics that they can use to make money in return.
The LXC also has storage attached and houses backups, but it's not served in any accessible way. I just use SFTP if I need to pull some files. The off-site is for if I somehow destroy both my live copy and the backup copy.
I have an LXC that pulls files to it as backups using rsync, and pushes backups to a remote location using borg.
Neither pushing nor pulling has any effect on the integrity of the backup, so just do which makes your life easier. I'm doing both because managing all of my backups from a single location is just easier.
Our PM walked from the US embassy to the TV station to speak about how we can't forbid male child genital mutilation if the parents are jewish, because jewish people were hunted in World War 2. We spied on our European allies on behalf of the Americans. They took a holiday from us despite everyone being in agreement that it was stupid.
They don't fucking care, man. Are you even from here?
People are downvoting this because they don't want to acknowledge that they live in a selfish shit culture that values and rewards hoarding wealth above all else, the precursor condition to enshittification of services. You might not personally, downvoting person, but don't be blind to the world around you. It will only get worse until you acknowledge it.
I didn't see a single person for all 24 hours of the 24th of December
The Internet was quiet. The outside was quiet. Best day ever...
