My first pass at ot was a simple grab closest neighbor solution, but that left a slightly unoptimal path and my boss asked me to "fix" it. I explained to him why, no, I can't make it both fast amd accurate, pick one, while also showing him that wikipedia page. I was so mad when he said just make it more accurate ignoring now it takes hours to run sometimes only to save 10 seconds of a machine moving.
On transgender people, McMillan says "When you see a guy walk down the street and he's got a little skirt on, and he's so happy. Why shouldn't you be happy? This is America, it's beautiful to watch someone different."
Based-ish? He's clearly happy to see trans folk be happy, but still adresses them by their former gender. His heart feels like its in the right place.
I have a lot of shot to say about Steve Jobs, but he knew what asthetics he wanted. He would loathe the current trend with phones having a camera bulge. Look at all the iPhones released under him, look at the back of them. If they had a camera it was flush with the back of the phone.
Yea, so this whole argument falls apart with all the easy beginner distros. They're out of the box easy to use and require minimal computer skills beyond knowing your password, how to use a mouse, and how to use a keyboard. Drivers may not be perfect for everything like your gpu, but if you're using a GPU you probably have enough vomputer skills to google why the driver ism't working.
I mean, spellings of words change all the time. Hell, when I was in school you'd lose points on papers for spelling "doughnut" as "donut", but now that shorter version is concidered a correct spelling and is no longer tagged by spell check.
We as a society can literally will this spelling to be concidered correct through shear usage.
There's the famous Whoopi Goldberg quote about how as a little kid she saw it with a black woman not beimg a maid and running around the house screaming about it in celebration
There's the famous story about Nichelle Nichols wanting to quit to do plays until MLK jr told her that she needed to stay for black people everywhere to be represented as an equal member of the crew, and it was the only show he'd let his kids stay up late to watch.
From its inception it's been "woke" by daring to put both a black woman and an asian man in roles where they were to be treated as equals and valued members of the group.
I'd like to add more examples, but it's been so long since I've watched any star trek.
EDIT: I just remembered the not at all subtile jab at racism with the two guys that had half black half white faces.
Back when metaverse was the hot shit bubble, he was bragging how fortnite is the metaverse and was clearly the future.
Funny, not a single techbro vould meaningfully distinguish games from the metaverse.
