  • This is sad - most of these enthusiast vehicles are well cared for and driven less than 1-2k miles a year. The people who were asking for this were looking for a legal path to register their vehicles.

They'll still be registered, just in Montana under an LLC because they don't have a better option.

  • This sounds like you've never missed a connecting flight. There are plenty of reasons people want to get off the plane.

  • This is amazing news! Salmon populations are under threat, and conservation efforts have been going ahead for decades to try and get ahead of it. I'm glad to see they are having an impact.

  • I'm hanging on to my pixel 5 for this reason. And the smaller form factor.

  • They don't, they're sub-variants of the same 3 species. This is like calling Deschutes River Redsides something separate that any other Rainbow Trout.

Golden Trout are definitely special. I remember celebrating when I caught that 6 in fish on a tiny #18 mosquito.

  • Yeah, but then they need to hire a guy to maintain the regex. And you could do something like "read every 3rd letter" and make that guy cry.

  • That link is staying blue.

  • This is what people are missing here. She was stopped, he whipped around her and crushed the bird because he was an impatient dick. Fuck that guy.

Sorry to hear about the turtle. I've had the same thing happen to me while cycling. Maybe they all need bear mace.

  • I saw so much of this. The same thing with Intel marketing dollars over AMD. Or Nvidia marketing dollars over AMD. Or Microsoft over Linux offerings for laptops. I'm surprised it's not public knowledge at this point.

  • Jim Farley has been quite open about EVs - and he's been conducting hands-on market research. He's done podcasts on the topic.

I don't know why everyone grabs their pitchforks for this - they're trying to address competition to modernize their offerings.

  • Please levy the largest fine imaginable for this spyware without consent. Because I know my country won't fucking do it.

  • Either that or a bot operating on his behalf. 13 day old account with 500+ comments - either a bot or some fuckin' loser with nothing better to do than lick boot.

  • I believe these chip restrictions were delayed between the time this article was published (yesterday) and now.

  • Ah, that makes sense. It's more recent.

  • Is Lex Friedman right leaning? I haven't listened a ton, but I got a neutral impression.

  • Correct - but having seen them in action, well planned ones are executed from multiple countries at once so they can't just be geoip blocked.

My money is on Elon not understanding how it works, lying, or both. Much more history of that happening than the other.

  • He's claimed DDoS before right after the purge. I'm pretty sure it was just the platform being crushed by normal traffic. I'm skeptical this isn't just operating as funded.

  • They literally have manufacturing facilities in the US as well due to the IBM acquisition. This article seems to gloss over the reality of them being globally diverse for a while.

HP and Dell manufacture more in PRC.
