Yeah on one hand its a pity that banking app usually don't work on LOS, on the other hand at least I don't have to have their app on the phone, I bet they do a lot of tracking.
Its weird, on the other hand pixels are not everything. I don't understand it well enough but from what i heard other attributes of the cameras are better.
Honestly this is the best, no camera bump and more space for battery. On the other side are leaks of new iphone with ginormous camera .. erm... can I even call it bump if its half of the phone?...
bro, I had one plus 6. two years ago (when it was 5 years old) I though my battery swelled. I had to act and bought fairphone 5, then I found out the battery was okay enough to change (the swelling unclear, but something lifted my display/back apart). I now have Linux on that phone and it recently entered its 8th year of life still working 😯 Though I use it for smart home dashboard now, because I have the fairphone. OnePlus is indestructible?!
The power of new... but I have fairphone 5... so my next model will be between fairphone 10 - 12 😀 (every 2 years is a new model, I want my phone to last at least 10 years)
You are welcome. Regarding the weird link form, I think its mainly because this is open source project. Somebody is working on it in their free time, maybe there are some money involved, but these kind of projects use to be a one man show, or a small group and you have to do a developer, architect, ux and design, tester and more. And everything is self managed, so it happens some things are not ideal. And look at their github, there is currently 530 active issues, there are probably other priorities than redesigning linking to make it a bit more interoperable...
It is what it is. I like Joplin because I am free to sync it the way I want to (syncthing) and the export to md, in rare cases I am sharing my notes is good enough. Plus decent mobile app and browser extension to essentially snip parts of pages right to my notes. I see myself migrating maybe (big MAYBE) if proton integrates standard notes into the ecosystem. Big big maybe.

A few notes regarding Joplin (some of which I already stated above)
you can link between notes and add plugin to see the graph. To get a note link, click on it with right button and there is an option to copy a link to that note. You can also link to a section of note with hashtags
joplin actually store the notes in md. However, if you have encryption turned on, you will of course see gibberish upon openning the file (its possible its only when you sync with filesystem I am not sure).
the wysiwyg (and md as well) works also with shortcuts e.g. ctrl+b
Joplin also has table of content plugin, its called "Outline" and its sitting in the right bar. You can add plugins in Tools > Options > Plugins
I didn't check the plugins on android, I don't use it much there mostly for quick checks :)
its hard to find something that fits you 100 %, but you can try make your own, that is how most of the foss projects start :)

Did you know you can use it in non-markdown mode (basically wysiwyg) I found myself to use it more and more. And the md is still underlayed and I can switch to it if I have issues with the editor. You can link between notes too. There is a plugin to see a notes map (kinda like obsidian.
Sometimes hitting delete is the best thing you can do. Especially bookmarks, how many of them is out of date, or not relevant to you any more. And if you needed some of it, you can find it again. Sure, there is a few things a bit harder to find, but it should take less time than sort through 2k bookmarks. 😀
Actually, that is a thing I like. Going through this stuff can be tedious, but it brings a lots of memories, things that I forgot about, things I once wanted to do. And also, after cleaning my digital life I feel similar as after cleaning in the physical world - good - I did something, I made my world a tad bit more organized and a tad less overwhelming. (I should note that I am lazy and I always must force myself to clean, but I never regret doing that after I start 😀)
P.S. as I wrote in one comment below, maybe bookmarks is not a necessarily a thing that you want to go through and sort. Here I am more writing about my notes, or photos, etc..
Yeah, totally agree. You know, I would perhaps be even ok keeping the drm, I have been thinking about it the other day. I would have to have a guarantee that I can use it even 50 years from now and it would have to be public, open-source solution, not owned but shaity companies like Adobe, Apple and Amazon (there is really no choice nowadays), who will use this to also track us.
Plus, as you say, I want to have a right to pass it onto someone (but more like lend it to a friend, because I can't imagine somebody caring about inheriting my 50 year old books, really.
About the refunds, I think some online stores offer (limited time) refunds and if you buy e.g. physical book, especially in the physical store, you are also very limited when it comes to returns.

I think if the ripping includes de-DRM-ing it's is illegal in a lot of countries. I am not saying it's right, we should own our own content, I am just saying it as a fact.
Thanks for sharing this, I am currently looking into these and so far found Dumb Assets and also partially Warracker which seems to be super active in adding features, but so far is focused mainly on warranties.
