  • Y'all laugh, but that's literally how my mom met her first husband.

  • I've found that crisis does it, too. I him (cat friend, we'll call him lol) while in a city a few hours from home, because my mom was helicoptered there for emergency surgery, and was in ICU for over a month. It was a horrible, terrible time, and the state I was in when I met cat friend definitely contributed to the friendship. He didn't know me from Adam, but he was there for me when I needed someone

  • Once met a dude in Walmart who had a cat with him. Talked in Walmart, and now he's one of my best friends.

  • I searched and I'm not finding one, but my search function often misses smaller communities. I'd love it if there was one

  • RAF was the entirety of my teen years. I loved that place

  • It is always so weird to me to see an animorphs fan in the wild. I know we're not super uncommon, but I was super active on Richard's Animorphs Forum back in the day, and associate the two. I always have to remind myself animorphs fan≠equal RAFian, and calm myself down lol

  • I genuinely wonder what the evidence required to prove that would be...

  • Clearly not in the US.

Down here we have the right to bear arms.

    ... I'll see myself out...

  • Thank you! I'll be going and checking it all out! :D

  • I can't believe I did that. Blame it on the sleep deprivation

  • ¿Por que no los dos?

    Pointless AND useless!

  • The expert in question is The Big Enormous Generation of Obvious Shitty Lessons on Internet Edutainment Syndicate

    BOGUS LIES, for short.

  • Do you have a website where I can read all of these in order? Absolutely loving them

  • He's tolerant of humor, and appreciating an aesthetic. If you have a partner, are they tolerant of you being a humorless curmudgeon with the sensibilities of Grandpa Simpson?

  • Fairly well. I've got funny shirts and a cute boyfriend, I think I'm doing pretty well

  • More like disgust jail :(

  • Good. Leave the funny shirts for the rest of us, then.

  • I somehow missed the twitter craze by accident. Was active on Myspace and then Facebook, but I always preferred my forums. Once I left all other social media, reddit was all that was left, and now Lemmy. It feels a lot more like what I miss, but still isn't quite the same

  • One of my favorites, and my BF didn't get it D:

A horse walks into a bar and the bartender says "why the long face? Are you depressed?"

The horse replies "I don't think I am"

At which point, the horse promptly disappears.

Now, if you're at all familiar with the works of Rene Descartes, you're likely chuckling at this point, knowing his famous quote "I think, therefore I am"

But to tell you that first would have been to put Descartes before the horse.
