  • I think by the time they get to us they'll be spread so thin in Venezuela, Greenland, Mexico, Cuba, etc... that they may not be able to mount enough of a force.

But who knows? It being a completely moronic idea never stopped Trump before.

  • Well if it rhymes it must be true! You're gonna feel so embarrassed looking back at this phase when you're all grown up.

  • Lol, give your balls a tug there buddy. Get off the internet and talk to some humans.

  • What a waste of resources. It won't do what its supposed to do, it'll cost us a bunch of money, and even the minister knows it's a bullshit program.

All to keep a few votes in Montreal.

  • Knowing this admin they're probably using the stick, not the carrot. We know the agents themselves have quotas, I'd be surprised if the recruiters didn't.

  • How else are you going to legislate your competition away?

  • In most states hairdressers need more training than that.

  • It is, they're separate numbers. It's just emblematic to me of how this is all about optics and not results.

  • $12 million and 25 guns collected. I knew this was going to be a giant waste of money, I didn't know it was going to be this bad.

I wonder what the total cost per gun will end up being, considering they've been "implementing" this for five years. That's a lot of consulant salaries.

  • It shouldn't be difficult if they wanted to. The models are meant to be a product though, so the incentive is to make them likeable. I've seen RP focused ones that aren't so agreeable.

  • Sure it will. We have to be a less appealing target than someone else. No one is saying we can go toe to toe with the US.

Best we can hope for is for them to pick a softer target and make a drawn out insurgency inevitable.

  • Unfortunately, yes. The best way to dissuade them from trying is to act as if they will. Still, military spending ranks low on people's priority list. At least Carney takes it more seriously than his predecessor did.

  • That happened faster than I thought it would. I figured we'd have a longer period of bleeding cash. Maybe a sign the tide is turning.

  • But think about how quickly he did it! /s

  • Nah, those users never opened co-pilot before. They have the two applications they use day to day and any deviation triggers a ticket

  • Assuming there's enough civilization left to have a WW4.

  • Yeah, that combined with the big servicing challenges for the F35s really makes me think getting them isn't the right move. For once the glacial pace of Canadian military procurement helped us.

  • Major chunks of the country will always vote for the same party. That's why you hear talk about blue states and red states. He's in a safe area, so he has a negligible chance of losing even if he does a terrible job.

  • The formal army wouldn't last too long, but imagine what an insurgency would look like.
