  • Looking to change to a Linux-based OS on a laptop, but I don't really understand coding so I haven't tried any of them. Is LinuxMint a good place to start?

  • Just lost a Mint install to a bad kernel update. I don’t bother to fix my OS failures anymore. I just load ventoy through refind and start over.

    It’s not a common occurrence but I’m just not precious about my OS installs anymore. Keep a script around to backup anything important to a network share and let it rip.

  • A friend of mine has a relative who is doing several years in prison for shit like this. It took about 14 times of him getting caught doing variously more aggressive, stalker things towards his ex partner before he was finally incarcerated for any length of time.

    Motherfuckers need to start letting shit go, and we need to start holding people accountable and providing services for their mental illnesses in the states.

  • PS5 will have the visual edge (and this game is fantastic visually) but there is something to be said for the probability of Switch 2!

    It does support cross save, so you could do both and not have to start over.

    All that said, I'd go ps5 if only 1 is an option.

  • Excited to pick this up on a discount. I've played every possible iteration of CyberPunk 2077 so far (starting with Stadia, lol).

    One of my favorite games of all time and while Steam Deck performance is decent, I am.interested to see how DLSS holds up on switch 2.

  • Big time tool fan in the 90's, 125 shows total throughout the years. Havent really been interested in their music and only seen them 2 or 3 times in the past decade.

    But, the past 12 or so years I've been super in to Cattle Decapitation. Seen them 15 times so far including a trip last year from the west coast of America to Ireland to catch them with some friends over there right around st pats.

    Phenomenal live band and genuinely good humans.
