Fiber Internet. Synchronous gigabit up and down with no datacaps is a must. My ping in fps games is like 9 ms and it's amazing. My homelab uses a bunch of data each month and as someone who's chronically online it's been such an awesome luxury after growing up with crummy dialup and DSL
I totally agree on all counts. Would love to see more actually mildly infuriating posts here. Leave the heavy actually infuriating posts for the other com
So grateful that db0 is still up in spite of this! Same reason I'm not yet using cloudflare tunnels for my homelab. Third cloudflare issue this year lmao
I did not hit the gym, but after dumping her I suddenly had no problems in life and found the energy to start jogging, lifting weights, doing bodyweight fitness exercises, cooking, reading, professional self-improvement, and now I have a new higher-paying career and a much better social life with my friends. Only thing that hasn't yet panned out is finding a new girlfriend, but I'm optimistic that could happen soon too. 🤞
Crystal Clear and all of the Drayano hacks are great if you want close to stock with every QoL mod you could ever dream of. You can optionally patch for type changes or not if memory serves
Storing the waste is still tricky, hence the Yucca mountain controversy and whatnot. The technology for reprocessing depleted uranium exists, but I don't think it's being done in the US at the moment.
I have a Samsung Tab S7 that I still use and like. It's great for watching Plex and YouTube ReVanced, and I even use the Samsung Notes app with its S Pen. The bummer is Samsung will seemingly never update the OS on it again, so it's stuck on Android 13. There are custom builds of LineageOS I could try, but apparently those break S Pen support.
Thanks! I'm trying our lichess tools for Firefox now. I've been using chess.com but don't want to pay for a subscription anymore so this seems like a good option
TIL, thanks! My first thought was that it might've been a telephony exchange center, data center, or other networking infrastructure hub. There's a building in my city colloquially referred to as "the bunker" built with a similar hardened brutalist style that houses all the main network trunk connections for our state.
