  • PTB. Hexbears hate being challenged from the anti-authoritarian left and will look for any flimsy excuse to ban so that they don't hear dissenting viewpoints.

    EDIT: Given the rest of the interactions of the OP in this thread and the rest of their behaviour on hexbear, I retract my 'PTB' statement. They sound suspiciously trolly. Seriously!

  • You can only interact with mastodonians if they interact with something on the threadiverse first. If they leave a comment on a lemmy post, you can reply to them, but due to the way they expect federation to work, they will not announce it to the instance hosting the comm you're in, so if you're from a different instance than the comm, only people in your own instance will see any replies to your comment coming from mastodon.

  • I feel like the mod was looking for an excuse here. I am not sure this is misogynistic per se, but definitely using a slur for "bottoms" (of any gender) to malign your ideological enemies is problematic and probably reinforcing patriarchy and toxic masculinity.

    On the other hand people in here going all "of course I'm not surprised they're sexist, since they're anti-ML" is some weak kick-them-during-the-pile-on shit given how there's hordes of patriarchy-lovingly homophobic Marxists (in fact I'd argue that's most of them, comparatively)
