  • Windows admins are notoriously grumpy and known for being apart of the "Cargo Cult". It's difficult to have any fun around these admins as they follow the rules without question exactly as written.

    Wanting an exception or needing something special from these guys is a bit like talking to surely teen who really really doesn't want to tackle any complex problems.

    It doesn't help that Microsoft trains admins to be button pushers without explanation of why we need to actually push these buttons.

  • No, I totally understand that, but for the thing you're doing, if you take away piracy, you're just trying to run a server on an Android phone, so you're gonna find better results in an Android forum from sysadmins who want to run a server.

    People get nervous with torrenting and pirating, so when you go on the Android forums, don't mention that's the reason you're looking for this.

  • If you're hoping to use your phone as is and just install a "server app" onto it to use as a streaming service, I have some bad news for you.

    That's definitely not gonna work. If you think you're gonna be able to run a server without root, that's also probably not going to work.

    You're most likely going to have to install a custom ROM onto your phone or some version of Linux onto your phone in order to do the thing you want to do.

    I don't have much knowledge of it, but the Android communities will probably be the better place to reach out about running a server from a phone

  • I haven't finished reading this, but I thought y'all would be interested to know that Ross Wolfe is a graduate from the University of Chicago. You know, the known psyop, that does its absolute best to turn real Marxist theory into the bullshit they peddle in the west.

    This is something Gabriel Rockhill actually talks about in one his interview is promoting the new translation from Losurdo, Western Marxism, how it rises and how it falls.

    Took a few days and was finally able to chew through it. Basically it boils down to "no international revolution in the west no communism".

    It's also a total rejection of socialism in isolation. Which means he obviously doesn't support any already existing socialist states.

    Based on my reading of the Foundations of Leninism, it seems that this author is twisting the words of Lenin to make it seem as if Lenin hadn't changed his theories of socialism in isolation and the need for an international revolution.

    Both of these themes—the need for coordinated international proletarian revolution in the most advanced countries, and the reabsorption of state power by society—will be explicated further in the third part of this essay. Needless to say, Losurdo diverged sharply from what Marx, Engels, and Lenin had to say

    I think a wonderful way to describe his beef with this is that if the west isn't leading the revolution, then in his mind it's not communism.
