  • Glad to see you got it fixed. Just out of curiousity, when was your last update before today and what kernel version were you on pre and post update?

  • Nothing is wrong with it. I imagine you'd be the type to survive in the wild west because you're equipped to do so while people around you die of dysentery.

  • I'm not sure if the original link is meant for public consumption but here's a mirror to an archive of the good stuff that was on r/iptvgroupbuy before it was removed.

That should help you avoid the pitfalls of iptv and save you some money.

    Edit: updated link

  • Taken from https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp. Replace 480 with 1080. Multiple options in the documentation to choose from.

Download the best video available with the largest height but no better than 480p, or the best video with the smallest resolution if there is no video under 480p

    $ yt-dlp -S "height:480"

  • Ran into this issue recently. Saw a random post on the other site about it being a wine bug. That led me down the path of trying older versions of wine and that solved the problem.

Grab the last version of wine 9 from https://github.com/Kron4ek/Wine-Builds and run the installer from the directory where wine 9 was unpacked.

    ./wine /path/to/game/installer

Hopefully it'll get fixed soon in wine 10 but given the nature of the bug, that could take a while.

The 50 series cards are pretty efficient and don't have the transient spikes issue of the 30 series. You can get away with having a lower wattage PSU that is closer to your actual requirement instead of 40-50% headroom that used to be suggested.

  • I agree with the general sentiment but saying he's had it easy while dealing with the tariff debacle and the ongoing economic fallout and constantly shifting goalposts is debatable.

Personally, I want to see where we are by the time the mid terms roll around.

  • Remember to also report ssh login attempts and unauthorized wordpress access (even if wordpress isn't installed).

  • Went looking for the bug report out of curiousity. Seems like a Fedora only bug.

  • Very nice. Details on the the mini PC & jbod? I'm curious what your read/write speeds are like and what (if any) compromises you had to make vs a "normal" 2u/tower setup.

  • I was wondering why my custom sync folders weren't syncing anymore.

  • I primarily use antennapod but tried abs out of curiousity. How did you get around the queue issue? I found it to be a dealbreaker

  • Lots of good answers already. I think one of the biggest factors is to not be the kind of person that succumbs to choice paralysis. There are always going to be a multitude of options for every problem. Learning to live with the idea that the best solution to a problem is not the only acceptable solution will go a long way to keep from getting frustrated in linux.

  • I read the article but I'm still confused as to why anyone would want to smuggle ants.
