  • I know a lot will say Bambu, but Sovol make excellent machines and their support is awesome from my experience. Plus, the benefit of their ecosystem being actually open, and open source for most of their stuff, vs bambu lockdowns.

I cannot recommend sovol enough,l. I have 4 of their machines with a 5th soon, among others that I have, and they definitely have been worth it.

  • It really does depend on your cad skill level, but basically you would need to make a mounting setup to incorporate both. it is certainly doable, but tbh I would have a look at some cad files from existing setups, and what may be involved.

to be completeltly honest, it would likely be easier to use a Stealthburner mount for Ender 3, and build a Filametrix Stealthburner which incorporates the whole cutter and extruder into the toolhead, then just make some sort of mount for thr lever trigger. some probably already exist tbh!

  • I used to like and trust him, but he has gone way off the deepend of jumping to accusations for clickbait, exactly as this shows. It is sad because of how much he has fought for our rights, but sometimes I wonder if it is all getting to him.

  • You can actually pick and choose which parts of the steamworks api to implement, so you can have trading cards, multiplayer etc without the drm side.

from memory, i think you do need to use the drm to use family sharing, we had issue with that when we chose not to use the drm, but everything else we could implement fine without it.

  • yep yep, exactly this. For whatever reason suits them, be it drm or others, pretty much everyone who publishes on steam does choose to do so

  • It is entirely up to the developer if they want to use it though. It is not mandatory for a developer to use Steam DRM even if publishing on Steam.

Kerbal Space Program 1, at least used to not require steam running at all. I havent tried in a while, but it was supposed to stay that way.

  • only semi related, but there is some hope for us fibro peeps. There has been a lot of recent discoveries showing the autoimmune pathways of fibro and some of what may cause the issue. and we know for sure it is autoimmune now.

it isnt definitive answers but it IS progress and a heck of a lot more than we have had before!

  • They used to be. As of the Mk4 and XL they no longer share a lot of their designs, and the source is also closed.

    Very sad to see.

  • They arent the strongest phone out there, but the PinePhone (and Pro) can do exactly that. I am heavily considering one for a second phone to play with

  • the spacing between the ripples appears to be approximately the rotation distance of the wheels, is it only on that axis? ie. is it along the left/right side from the pics perspective or only the front/back?

i would check the wheels on the axis it appears for any damage or debris, and the wheel path.

  • Bigtreetech's btt pi is quite good for printer use - and general use tbh, but it is geared towards printers

  • Xtrek would be what pops to kind for me, possibly?

  • I haven't had driver related issues with nvidia for a long time, last was some kde wayland stuff fixed a while ago, before that using x no issues for a long time

  • You need quite the opposite, more cooling on those overhangs. As you are in the chamber, the heated air wont cause warping like outside an enclosure, so crank those speeds on overhangs. I generally run 80-100% on bridges anf steep overhangs. I do also slow down print speed on overhangs significantly to allow more cooling aswell
