  • Fat blue line. Bad cops, no donuts.

  • Who goes out with $3k cash? Even if you are so wealthy that the quantity is like $20 for normal people, that's enough to make you a target if someone discovers you have it.

  • If they're leaking this now, they have already purchased their personal "investments" to dump in exchange for tax (tariff) dollars.

  • Looks like libel evidence. Family should sue.

  • i use edit.com, notepad and geany btw

  • My coworkers, especially the younger ones, are surprised when they watch me work in vi. Lots of "how did you do that so fast?"

  • Now this will be a GOOD Friday.

  • Vim. I used to use emacs in the mid-90s, but I just found that vi was more universally supported. At this point, I am too old and stubborn to learn anything else. I am really efficient in vim.

  • The Abrahamic religions are and have always been internally incoherent. I didn't come here to argue that the Court got their own doctrine wrong, just to provide a citation to their foundational doctrine that illustrates the incoherence. I don't care what their invisible space monkey tells them, but if they want to kill others, they shouldn't be surprised when the others fight back. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

  • "Thou shall not kill." Did he fucking stutter?

  • Would be hilarious if they discovered the rising rates were due to microplastics in the environment. Deregulation will surely fix that...

  • Sure you're broke, tariffs are wrecking the global economy, climate change is going to kill at least 5 billion people, etc, etc, but it is is all worth it because that one trans kid in Pennsylorida can't play badminton and will probably commit suicide and you can proudly wear your kkk gear in public again.

Maybe doge will do something funny like cut existing farm subsidies.

  • But they'll audit the people making less than 200k because they can't afford to hire lawyers to effectively fight back.

  • I think you mean it will ducking correct...

I turned mine off completely because it has bo comprehension of when an apostrophe is appropriate in front of the letter s. Forever making words possessive that were intended to be plural. Apostrophes do not mean "look out, here comes an s."

  • I would not be surprised if autocorrect was a major culprit along with phone keyboards. You can type something correctly and have autocorrect make it wrong. It's also super easy to get the wrong letter if you have normal sized hands and are typing on a phone keyboard. I have turned autocorrect completely off and am significantly less error prone as a result.

I frequently decide against correcting an error if I think my intention is clear, and I am in a hurry. I don't really care what strangers on the internet think of my editing skills.

  • Well, since it is basic military doctrine that you should never field a unit that you can't afford to lose, and the billions in $ losses and thousands of sailor lives means we can't afford to lose a carrier, this suggests that carriers are now obsolete and should be retired.

  • "You move 16 tons and what do you get?"

Trump: I like it when the peasants get further in debt.

  • Yeah that sounds awful. Fortunately corporate policies prohibit putting our technical data into AIs.

  • I have had enough serious much lower speed skateboard accidents to be terrified of this.

  • Scrum is just something I have to endure in order to get paid to program. The worst is when you're working on something hard and your status hasn't changed substantially from the previous day. "I did a bunch of things that didn't pan out, so I only really have an expanding list of things that are not the problem. No, assigning someone to help me is unlikely to resolve the issue faster."
