  • You're looking for a "gotcha" but my whole point is that people are judging SpaceX entirely on Elon being involved, rather than it's actual merits.

  • I think it's not fair to say that iteration doesn't ever include any steps back. Development isn't always straightforward and it doesn't always go perfectly.

    Falcon 9 (the only rocket they actually sell launches on) is one of the most reliable launch vehicles in the world.

  • I hate to be this guy, but this is just... not true. That's not how this works at all. How is the government giving SpaceX money outside of a contract? They aren't.

    Everyone wants to find a reason to hate SpaceX because Musk, but the truth is SpaceX is a well-ran innovative company.

  • I think this goes both ways though. Obviously cars get more money, but there are lots of instances of taxpayers paying for public transit they cannot personally use.

  • I downloaded trail sense to compare, but they just are apples to oranges. trail sense looks like an awesome app and I'm happy to add it to my collection of useful tools!

    This compass app (and level, too) is simply the most polished and perfected version of a phone compass or level that exists. The haptics feedback, to every small animation and detail, to the minimal but feature-packed design.

    It is SO thoughtful and laser focused on just being a really really good compass and level.

    This should be a native Android app. I bought it on a whim to try it but holy crap it is just so perfect especially if you notice and care about minor details
