Beam steering largely mitigates most of these problems. Fiber is definitely more scalable, but also far more expensive (somehow...) to provide last mile to the entire planet.

Second Valetudo. I've used it for years now on a Dreame L10 Pro. Thinking about upgrading to something with mopping capabilities but Valetudo support is a requirement for me from now on!

You can technically put PostmarketOS on a wide variety of devices, but it isn't a "pure" Linux experience, since it is using the same proprietary blobs as the vendor to get all the hardware working.
