You are assuming there's just one socialist or communist theory.
I grant that what you are saying are in fact forms of socialism, communism, and anarchism, but they aren't the only forms. That is why it's hard to really fully nail down what socialism or communism are.
Socialism is strictly the public owning businesses. You can have an anarchist socialist business (weird I know) employee owned businesses and/or community stores fall into that sort of a category.
Marxist communism is a stateless society. Effectively socialist anarchy. States that call themselves communist are generally socialist state with a centrally planned economy. Leninism/maoism was basically communist leaders deciding that the populous would never adopt true communism and thus they forced it onto the public.
The united states has socialist programs, they tend to be some of the most popular programs. It's not really considered a socialist state, though, as government policy over the last 40+ years has been to whittle away and remove those programs at every available opportunity.
Socialism isn't an all encompassing economic policy. Even under communism, shareholders can still exist.
Socialism in its basics is just the concept of publicly ran companies. How that's implemented can be all over the board.
Police, firemen, and libraries are examples of socialist industries. But so are the Norwegian oil reserves. TSMC is (or at least was) a socialist company.
Oh for sure. I'm mostly just pointing out how pathetic this situation is and yet the FBI wants this to be the poster child of leftwing violence.
Literally 3 of the members of the group were FBI agents. Meaning you had like 6 people together with half of them being the feds.
Meanwhile, I could drive the FBI to rightwing compounds within a 50 mile radius and I can guarantee those guys actually have a whole ton of illegal explosives. Hard to think the FBI is unaware of the stuff these groups get up to.
As a younger teen trying to get starcraft running on my linux box, my parents were definitely upset when they saw me browsing "winehq". They thought I was trying to get booze shipped to our house :D
A really sad fact is that rail lines used to connect even the most rural of communities. Many cities removed rail lines to put in roadways.
You can still find rails to a lot of farms in Idaho because that's how produce used to be shipped.
The big rail companies are a major reason rail sucks in the US. They were given the land for their lines nearly for free with the promise they'd provide public transit. Well, they stopped that. So the US created Amtrak to relieve them of the obligation of public transit with the promise that Amtrak trains would get priority. Well they constantly break that law which makes Amtrak suck with constant delays.
Heck, these companies are at least supposed to be in charge of maintaining the lines, and they don't do that either. The US has a crazy number of derailments and a big reason for some of them is that the tracks receive little maintenance.
These are still multi billion dollar companies and they do what all giant companies do and nickel/dime everything.
Israel was a Nazi concept. Hitler wasn't right. The idea of "this land should be for the X" is a core part of Nazi ideology.
Basically everywhere the British tried to divide things up on ethnic, religious, or cultural lines has ended in a perpetual shitshow. India and Pakistan is another example.
It's a mess. You first run into bandwidth problems on the incoming streams. But you also run into a problem with the device support matrix.
If you say "We'll support H.264, H.265, AV1, AV2" and "We'll support 480p, 720p, 1080p, 4k". Now you'd be asking the clients to do 16 different encodes to upload.
This gets more complicated if you add more streams or supported formats. You also end up needing to coordinate that with the client.
AFAIK, the way youtube currently handles this problem is they have dedicated encoders for live streams and fast encoding. For popular videos they do a second step where they do a more full matrix to optimize viewership.
Yeah, as an old internet head Nazis have always been everywhere. There's a reason moderation has been one of the first things implemented since the usenet implosion.
Bluetooth is one of those things that is a crapshoot in linux. A big part of that is because the bluetooth protocol itself is a giant train wreck. It requires a stupid level of integration into the OS to do basic stuff (It should have just been effectively what Wifi Direct is). It also doesn't help that the linux audio stack is kinda fucked.
Sleep/hibernate is also somewhat of a crapshoot because it's a very weird protocol.
For some linux hardware these things work pretty well, but for others it can be a nightmare to make work properly.
FTR, I'm currently using KDE plasma + pipewire and that works pretty well for me with my bluetooth devices. But I realize that's probably also somewhat due to me having good hardware for linux in the first place.

For example, Market Socialism is a thing.
