They tried to deem Anthropic both a hostile actor, which would cut all DoD contracts off completely, and then also tried to declare them essential and force them to ignore the safety limits set forth in the contract, which is the supply chain thing.

  • The thing is, the Clintons are old hands at the political game, and both received extensive training on how to avoid foreign intelligence blackmail operations, like the one Epstein was running.

    So it's no stretch to say that they both probably dodged that trap, not from any moral standpoint, but because of how fucking obvious it was.

    Bill borrowed the plane, but seems to have ditched Epstein.

    But the real reason I don't think the two fell for the blackmail operation is Trump. If he had dirt on the Clintons, he would have released it day one.

  • The French didn't exactly speed run it themselves.

    I'm currently listening to old episodes of the Revolutions podcast, and am midway through the French and it bares no resemblance to what's going on now. Which, when it gets to the reign of terror, might be a good thing... But that's the one part of it that I could see happening again.

    A lot of the terror was fueled by a murderous little shit with a bootleg newspaper. There's a reason why lible and slander laws are so powerful in that part of Europe.

    That's what's new. And the consequences for everyone else are pretty fucking dire. Before, they had to pretend to be honest, and some were, if only because they feared repercussions, like a big investigation that would kill their reelection. And a federal investigation would likely mean actual jail time. It's happened before, not often, but it has happened.

    The threat of a federal investigation is gone, so any hesitancy to rob the public coffers is also gone.

  • The only threat they needed to make was a return to general population.

    I seem to remember him being attacked by another inmate. Instead of being put into protective custody he was put on suicide watch, which is its own kind of hell.

    So, he changed his will to fuck over his victims, and is suddenly pulled off suicide watch.

    The only two people needed to then make sure Epstein was dead would be the warden probably Epstein's own lawyer. Maybe the psychiatrist who signed off on the removal from suicide watch... But the suicide watch wasn't initially justified, so pulling Epstein off it wouldn't seem strange.

    Hell, if you were a clever, high placed official in the DOJ, an example being Bill Barr, you could simply tell the warden to "put some pressure on the pedo" and then use the lawyer to deliver the real message of "kill yourself before we put you into the general population".

    Then you get a dead loose end and no record of illegal activity inside the prison. Also you only have to buy off a single person who likely already has questionable morals.

The civil rights act was a move in the right direction, and then you had diversity initiatives and you could be excused for thinking that things would actually be better. And then Reagan stepped in and started undoing all the wins, focusing first on breaking Unions and Labor rights, which hurt minority most, but eventually fucked everyone.

    Brunel wasn't murdered, he committed suicide to escape consequences and as a giant fuck you to his victims. He had initially tried to hide from the cops, then tried suicide multiple times, and finally someone allowed him the opportunity to try one last time.

  • Brunel was an aging monster who was finally facing consequences. And again, in France. He had multiple attempts at fleeing the mortal coil, and finally got it right.

    Conspiratorial thinking is fun and all, but you end up turning off your brain when you engage in it. You just admitted you know nothing of the case and then declare that he must have been murdered. Do you see the problem here?

    Epstein was running an obvious blackmail operation.

    The Clintons seem to have met Epstein around the time frame when Bill was being scrutinized for not keeping it in his pants.

    They also seem to have actually cut ties with Epstein after his conviction.

    Bill did borrow the plane in those years before the conviction. So there are still questions to be answered, but I still don't think Bill did anything on the plane.

  • Brunel was in a French prison and had actually attempted suicide multiple times before he got it right.

    He had been released to house arrest awaiting his trial and the French cops were actually paying attention, so when he almost instantly violated the terms, he went right back to prison.

    By law in France, suicide watch has a limited duration. Brunel exploited this.
