    I didn't really know they existed on etsy before the last year or so. There were a few big incidents, weren't there? Big names getting cursed, or something.

    On Ebay I think people get away with the scam by also mailing a candle or something.

  • There are a bunch of different kinds of places that all link together! Lemmy is a bit like reddit, Mastodon is like twitter, Mbin does the twitter and reddit thing mashed together, pixelfed is like instagram, friendica is like facebook- and so on.

    Mastodon has microblogging, like twitter/x and bluesky, if you're interested in that! Lemmy is more about finding communities on topics and posting in them.

  • The cat who did it passed away years ago, but my rice cooker has a permanent dent in the bowl part because of her.

    It's funny how something so annoying is a fond reminder years later. As I'm shoving the bowl in since it doesn't quite fit without fussing, now, I'm remembering all the funny stuff she got into over her lifetime.
