  • I have a #Jellyfin server at home where i store my music files. In my android phone i use #Finamp for listening to music from jellyfin. I also tried the jellyfn app, Gelli and findroid, but my favorite so far is Finamp.

  • The easy way, but not the most secure: identify GID and UID of files created by your samba docker container with "ls -la". Then assign ownership of files and directories of shared volume to that user/group "chown -R GID:UID /path/to/shared”

  • @zeromoney I have a self hosted streaming service for music with #Jellyfin. But i think there's no an easy way to deploy it. You need to have some basic linux knowledge.

    @selfhosted

  • @mitexleo @selfhosted Jellyfin can also do that. You need to configure metada providers in library. But it is required that you organize your library directories by artist/album.

  • @mitexleo @selfhosted artist/album. I use musucbrainz Picard to tag files, so jellyfin can identify easily.

  • Jellyfin. I've been using it for several months. It works really great for streaming music and also videos. I use the Finamp app in my phone for music.

  • I'm a very satisfied proxmox user and I have almost all applications deployed with VM or containers. If you're no a begginer into Linux/nas I think it is the best choice. On the other hand I would totally discard TrueNAS because it is too restrictive and hard to customize.

  • @windlas @jerb @linux I started with truenas, but trying to install an app that is not in truecharts is a mess. Finally I moved to proxmox and I can install whatever I want in a container or VM. It's really easy to learn how to use it. I totally recommend it.

  • @juanro49 @espanol y tampoco da seguridad de éxito ni mejora. En Chile hace años que los clubes pasaron a sociedades anónimas y ha sido un total fracaso en lo deportivo.

  • @HumanPerson how interesting! I didn't know that kind of bananapi boards. It looks very powerful, maybe the best price/specs ratio.Does it support DD-WRT? I'm using that firmware in my router long time ago.
