  • What? You want high smoke point oils for seasoning. You want to season the pans in temperatures higher than you would be normally cooking in, which means higher smoke point oils. I season all of my cast iron and carbon steel with canola, works great.

    If you season with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, it's going to burn the seasoning off under normal circumstances.

  • Actually one of the best things for fleas (outside of oral medications) is Dawn, no jokes. We had a bad outbreak after the dog brought them in and they got on our 3 cats so it was a battle of attrition as wed wipe out the infestation in one animals and it get reestablished on the others but bathing and flea combing them every day (and dusting the carpets and furniture with diatomaceous earth) eventually we wore them down, broke their lines, crushed their flea men and heard the lamentations of their flea women, who were then also crushed.

    I still have PTSD flashbacks like 3yrs later when I feel a tingle on my leg and think it's a flea 😅

    If you want peer pressure from GOP funding Silicon Valley NIMBYs and weirdly conservative cannabis farmers go West. If you want a culture that prides itself on cutting you off in traffic while sipping a large extra extra around the Newport eternally stuck to your lower lip but at the same militantly defending your civil rights and social systems, come to New England.   • The last time I was visiting my parents in South Carolina we went to a local art faire thing, and one of the stands was a dude selling art of Confederates. Not just any Confederates, Black Confederates. And the dude selling this art, was a older black man in full fucking Confederate uniform. The best part was the massive bread boards he had full of tiny font Confederate apologia that read like a SovCit manifesto.

  • I have bounced off Nioh 2 like a dozen times, the combat system utterly overwhelms me every time I jump in. I have beaten every Souls game outside of Sekiro, but the stances and absorbtion mechanic thing around parrying (forget the exact details) just does me head in.

    And every time I bounce off I am sad, cus otherwise it looks amazing. I want to get to the end game and grind out stuff, but getting off the ground is a slog.
