  • Sounds like you've had too many mega pints

  • Hola

    Jump
  • Hole Chupito

  • Police uncovered his stash of explosives after Whittaker suffered a life-threatening allergic reaction and called 999 for medical help on 18 April 2024.

Wonder what he was making to cause this?

The article later mentions ricin, reckon he was trying to synthesise that out of Castor Oil seeds

  • Just goes to show, you can't bee too careful

  • I had this idea of buying an army coat from a typically cold country as they'd theoretically be designed to be durable and warm.

I found a Polish army jacket in my local army shop. In the mad off chance you live near Madrid, it's in Argüelles.

It's quilt lined and it also has a quilted removable lining. It's very warm, I used it for work at a job in October/November last year and I didn't feel the cold at all.

I also waxed it myself to make it waterproof, which might have helped keep some heat in?

So yeah, long story short. Buy one from a colder country

  • Aye, I agree with the spirits thing. Most of the point of the spirits is the taste/burn of the ethanol.

I like the odd margarita and espresso martini (basic, yes I know) and if they didn't have the strong taste of the spirits it would be pointless.

Micheladas can work with non alcoholic beers though.

  • I played a game of it once and one of the pictures was a paving slab

  • It was pretty surreal when Spain had that hours long power cut last year.

No power, no internet, no phone signal, nada.

People who had battery radios were putting the news on and placing them on their window sills and turning up the volume so people could get updates of what the fuck was going on.

There was lots of street drinking and there was a pretty good sense of community.

This was in vallecas so not sure what it was like in the Centro

  • The ludes have arrived

  • They've tried depoting nativos from the USA already

  • I'd say hipsters still is in use. I'd agree with you if you'd said hepcat

  • Wonder what her password was

  • What if they prefer Niel Diamond?

  • Fuck Nestlé

  • Hipsters, the word for that style is probably hipsters

  • It's great, got stuck in Madrid over COVID and never left.

Weed had been decriminalised. It's not legal. You can still get done for it.

The government at the moment is Socialist (PSOE), the pigs are still pretty fascist though.

In bars/restaurants you will typically get tapa with a alcoholic drink or a refresco (soda) but not with coffee for some reason. A lot of Spanish food is beige but don't let that put you off!

Also, the menus are pretty much the same wherever you go. I've had Spanish people get offended when I've pointed this out, when you arrive and start eating out, you'll see what I mean.

They still kill bulls for fun.

It's fairly early still and I've not had any caffeine so feel free to ask anything else

  • Is that Saddam in the first pic?

  • O'Leary doesn't mince his words
