  • Considering nearly everything requires a phone number and also rejects VoIP numbers? Yes. A phone is required now to participate in society.

  • You can get stuck in a loop if you have multiple accounts such as a dev and production account.

    So if you're in stuck in the dev account and need to log into production you get stuck in a loop of it trying to login as the dev account.

    The only way out is to find a dev site and log out from the dev account.

  • I recall it being required in cars. IIRC all cars after 2012 needed to have bluetooth and hands free.

    Perhaps phones just operated in proxy to that

  • Dumb phones have had Bluetooth. I remember as far back as the first RAZR having bluetooth.

    I asked about any projects for my street because it's no longer 2023 and the clerks couldn't find any road permits for running it through the conduit

    I live in a community of rental homes.
