  • No, its replaceable. Just delete it, somebody has to make the step. I told my friends and family they can reach me at signal, call me or just send an SMS. I don't want to judge but it is easier than you may think.

  • Eben. Ich hab neulich in der Familie ein bisschen Smartphone Hilfe gemacht. Auf allen Geräten war das Backup eingeschaltet, welches mit dem Google Account verknüpft war. Die Verschlüsselung ist standardmäßig nicht aktiviert. Muss man manuell machen, es gibt eine Warnung und einen Schlüssel, den man sich notieren muss. Ich glaube, das machen die wenigsten.

  • Höre immer wieder das Argument, Whatsapp sei ja Ende zu Ende verschlüsselt. Aber 90% der User machen ein Backup, welches standardmäßig nicht verschlüsselt ist, sondern im Klartext bei Google gelagert wird. Ob mein gegenüber im chat das so macht, wird einem auch nicht angezeigt. Dass die ohne Ende Metadaten sammeln, ist eh klar, genauso wie die Nutzung ihrer KI für eigene Werbezwecke.
