I'm not the young spring chicken I used to be and I find myself appreciating the trekking poles more and more. Having the extra stability on rough or narrow sections makes me safer and they make a big difference to my knees on long downhill sections. Highly recommend
I've been out of dota for a few years (I started playing back when it was a wc3 mod), anyone feel like giving me a rundown of some of the teams and current meta? I watched a few snippets from the playoffs and it was nice to see some of the old favorites like sand king/rubick and void show up. Looked like a lot of variety of heroes which is always a good sign.
Yes! I've done 2 or 3 "playthroughs" now and enjoyed it every time. There is still one more environment the devs have promised so might be worth waiting for that to drop. Valheim has great vibes and great gameplay. The grind has improved (somewhat) with new items and there has been a lot of new content added since you last played. I definitely recommend. It's always better with friends so hopefully you can convince them to join you.
COVID cases are high in Texas, California, Oregon, Nevada, New Mexico and other states in the West and South Central part of the country.
“We are seeing cases increase here in Houston, and in Texas, and if we look at the data that is available from [the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention], it certainly seems like the South Central U.S. — Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana — are seeing some of the higher test positivity rates in the in the country,” said Dr. S. Wesley Long, the medical director of diagnostic microbiology at Houston Methodist Hospital.
According to Dr. Scott Roberts, an infectious disease doctor at Yale Medicine in Connecticut, “the highest test positivity is in the Texas region ... with the second highest kind of broadly being the West Coast. So, the Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada areas, but that does extend through Colorado and then the Dakotas.”
COVID test positivity rates, which measure the percentage of positive tests out of all tests given, in the United States is 11.2%, which is up from 9.9% last week and 2.7% in May, according to CDC data.
This number is an average of positivity rates across the country, meaning it’s lower in some places and higher in others. Test positivity is as high as 17.9% in places like Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, and 7.5% in many New England states.
We just hit phase two of food gardening, which is food preservation. We are canning for the first time tonight, 5 quarts of Roma tomatoes from the garden. Here's hoping it goes well 🤞.
this was the summary from the article, I know this is old news now but here's an independent journalist I follow who offers some more context on this raid in case anyone is interested
I've been using miniflux in docker with a miniflux-ai container I found on GitHub, I seem to recall I had issues out of the box and had to tweak it but that was quite a while ago, can't remember the details. I have it configured to generate summaries of a list of feeds in miniflux when it sees new items. Works pretty well, needs to be restarted occasionally but has been just fine for the amount of time it took to setup.
The raids are part of a “national security investigation in search of classified records,” a person familiar with the matter told NBC.
The probe is eyeing multiple instances of the use of classified documents in leaks to the news media. The investigation began during the Biden administration, but did not go further before President Joe Biden left office in January.
