  • I’m no lawyer, but wouldn’t that basically open them up to an instant win for anyone who files lawsuits against them?

  • Thanks! Sounds like I did miss it!

  • Unless I missed it, Switch Online wasn’t mentioned specifically in that video. Is it the same one as the NES Classic?

Looks like I did miss it

  • I dunno I’ve still yet to see ads. Between Smart Tube Next on my TV, Firefox with uBlock origin on my computer, and AdGuard + Vinegar on my phone, nothing gets through, even with their latest efforts.

  • Antoni hasn’t been confirmed yet so has no part in this latest report. He’s also come out and said he won’t release monthly jobs numbers anymore once installed.

  • I just hate being near those things in general. Pass as quick as possible and create some space.

  • The ship is still a Time Machine, because it travels time (in a way other than our standard linear movement through it). Whether or not it does that time traveling before or after someone pilots it for other uses, is irrelevant.

  • Holy shit, that was his ship, wasn’t it? 2 different franchises and in both he’s flying time machines

  • That was the first season Amazon produced, and they significantly upped the budget from Syfy…

  • Anecdotal, but I got jabbed 4 or 5 times with the mRNA vaccine and got COVID once.

The jabs usually meant that evening and next day I had a splitting headache, extremely uncomfortable lymph node under the armpit of the side I got the jab, and just general tiredness. But 24 hours later it was good and I was fine.

With COVID, I was bedridden for 3 Days. Fevers, splitting headache (worse than the jabs), diarrhea, even vomited once. Even when I got better enough to get out of bed, I had an uncontrollable dry cough that lasted for weeks.

So yes, the jabs weren’t fun, but they were predictable and ended quickly. The disease itself was much worse for me and had a tendency to linger.

  • Unfortunately, my living room TV has only HDMI in, no DP. I tried the adaptor route, but it was horribly unstable… sometimes providing perfect signal, sometimes cutting to a black screen for a second or 2, every 5-10 seconds. Either way, VRR is wholly unsupported by the adaptor.

  • Just installed it at the start of the month on an older PC for a console-like experience in my living room. Only 2 issues really have me disappointed (and I’m not sure there’s much Bazzite can do about them)

    1. No HDMI 2.1 support from my AMD card (like seriously, wtf? Had I known that I probably would have dropped a 9060 XT in instead of a 9070XT)
    2. No real wake in controller support for my FlyDigi or Xbox Series controllers. I’ve messed around in udev and found no solutions.

If they can figure those things out, I’d be much more impressed with the experience…. For now it just feels like another FOSS compromise to the product you actually want (PS5 Pro)

  • It’s kind of meaningless when it’s sandwiched between 2 absolute abominations.

  • That’s great news! …but I’m never moving back. Been in San Diego for a decade now and love it here

  • Lived in LA (or surrounding area) for a decade. One of the reasons I wanted to get out was because of how shit it is to get to/from literally anywhere in the city.

This would definitely help things, but no single train line is going to fix the problem. LA is way too huge and sprawling, and requires a large network of rail to become a viable alternative to cars. And there’s way too many NIMBYs with that Hollywood money in key areas of town to make that happen.

  • N64 game prices were $60-75 back when the console came out in 1996… so no, they’ve been static for almost 3 decades.

  • Got that today. Changed to old.Reddit.com and no issues. Almost like new Reddit sucks

  • The article mentioned solar tech being first patented in the US, and even as recently as the 70s the government injected cash to push it forward.

So maybe not “Clean energy leader” per se, but certainly tech leader in the clean energy space.

  • We (USA) gave up on being clean energy leaders decades ago and now China has emerged in our place.

Now, between meddling in our universities, research granting system, and an insane HHS Secretary, we’re headed on the same path in a larger number of other science and technical fields, especially Medicine.
